Brand New to Canada: SG-12 "SPAS"

Nope, nothing. I filled in their form on their webpage. Maybe they just plan to wait until we fix the issues and then "oh hey, everything okay?"
Ive sent my first one using the form aswell. Now ive just sent another one straight from my email and attached a bunch of pictures and the result of ours digging.

In my case there no doubt the tab is binding to the reciever and i believe the wiggle room it as to do so come from thoses out of spec holes.

Once that bolt release is fix the rest should be a walk in the park. A little bit of blue loctite on the tube extention, bit of torque on the choke, a small wood spacer between the limiting rob and the spring cap and voila. Its should run 100%.

I was just looking at the magtube extension cuz some ppl were saying it kept coming loose from recoil and i noticed you could file a small u notch in the tube to allow the detent to come out more and that should lock it in place without messing with locktight

What is the "a small wood spacer between the limiting rod and the spring cap" for again? To limit double feeds?

To keep the mag spring retaining cup from shooting into the mag tube extension. There is a thin limiter inside the mag tube extension, but it doesn't rest against that plug, a spacer would keep it from popping loose.

My receiver is also getting slight scratches on one side from the stock, I seem to remember similar scratches on pictures of real Spas, as well as wear from the pump on the heat shield, so I kind of accept that as part of the package.

I used high heat loc tite on the choke, I'll never be changing that out and I don't want to lose it.

Yes to similar scratches on receiver sides of the original SPAS 12. And sadly yes…to some of the mechanical issues being seen here. It certainly gives the gun that iconic look to it though …😉
