Is that plastic or aluminum?
I applaud these early adopters. A dozen of hardcore enthusiasts make a Turkish manufacturer of any junk profitable. That facilitates the next generation of guns which will try to address some issues and introduce new ones. Because Turkish manufacturers mostly compete against them village neighbours and change materials and parts suppliers for every new order or even within the same order. Eventually something will get better... Maybe...

I wouldn't worry about it, you buy it for the novelty, not the function or the cracks.
I think it's stamped steel. Likely happened during the stamping process, it's fairly rough. My only concern is that the pump runs in channels on the side of this, and it sort of contains the barrel, we'll see if it changes at all after a pile of rounds.
got mine yesterday and just quickly went through it. So far so good, bolt release is smooth one finger operation, switching from auto to pump is smooth, fit and finish is ok and what to expect with turkish shotgun ,it dident like the cheap amazon snap caps very much, but it cycled and ejected some s&b buck shot in auto and pump with no issues (manual cycling) and the detent for little end piece of stock needs to be pushed in quite abit to fold it, easy fix tho. i would definitly clean it first tho, i had a notable amount of metal shavings in around the action and it was heavly oiled all over the gun. Happy with it so far but well see how it dose at the range.
I was a FAC carrying AK-47 owner back when "Progressive" Conservative (and fat little piggie) Kimmie Campbell decided to ban all the guns that scared her during movie night. I don't care if east indians built this thing, I would have bought it and should have grabbed 2 more "just in case".
Hell I'd still be buying norinco 1911s and AR-15s if I could. I don't know if your aim here was to shame the guys that bought these, but I'm happy as a pig in sh*t about it.

I see what you mean, but yeah they're cracks. You can see light through one of them. Just a bad die on that heat shield. I'm wondering if anyone else has a bad stamp. 3rd hole back in the middle row on the top. I contacted TI about the bad bolt release, didn't mention this, it's minor unless it gets worse over time.
It's funny, mine has the same marks, but they are in fact just welds that aren't sanded all the way flush like the other poster suggested.
Tapped the roll pin out from the bottom until it would release the bolt catch. Roll pin wasn't completely removed because my punch wasn't long enough. Tapped roll pin back in from the top. Not difficult, but a way to hold the gun helps. It would be easier if you have an extra long 3/32 punch.
Those are just the welds.
I haven't removed mine yet, I didn't want to mess with that screw holding down the heat shield, I shone a flashlight up from below and there is a crack, maybe they all cracked and they just went and welded up all of them?
