Handguns are like gold on the street. Its what they want.

Summertime is upon us, crooks are getting their gats....

Very helpful. Now go away...

I think you don't get his point. couples of years ago some party come with the idea of forcing target shooters to let their restricted firearms at their respective gun clubs. A stupid idea that is not only impratical for most gun club, beeing too expensive to set up, but also very dangerous because of the real possibility that it might create a target of choice for criminals.

:mad:Approximately at 00:30hrs last night we were hit by a team and unfortunately firearms were stolen.

We are working with the police, our security company and contractor to sift through the incident and will report more when it is available.

More to follow.

JR

How come you guys dont lock all your restricted up after hours? Just asking. I was at wild west in west ed one time and they told me they take all of theirs off display and lock them up in the safe at night, then put them back out on display in the morning.

^ This. If I stored my guns in a glass cabinet and they got stolen there is a very real possibility of being prosecuted. Do gun ranges/stores have different storage rules/laws?

Cox said after that incident, security was in the process of being upgraded, with new stainless steel mesh window coverings being installed Monday, one day too late to stop the most recent break-in.

'Who-and-whos-friends' knew of this info about the windows being upgraded the next day??!!

DOH! I hope that's just a really sh!tty .jpg in the article and they are digital cameras, if they are analog the picture isn't getting any better then that...

also I didn't see any 'fog' spraying anywhere.

Very Disappointing to hear. Will this hold up the easter sale M&P transfers? I was wanting to get some practice in with it so I could go to the Med hat 3 gun or CDTSA... :(

Not at all. The transfers were already started and we are back running on all cylinders.

Sorry to hear this happened again... I like doing business with TSE, as well as being a member of the range...

On another note, the security company's truck is at the background on that news coverage... I feel good that I'm not using their service...

Oh, I got it. It was unnecessary.

(you know, "there's a time and place..." and all that?)

Obviously a targeted theft....but it is difficult to stop a determined criminal short of having a concrete building without any windows , and a heavily fortified entrance . Seems to me there was a break in at a gun store a few months ago where the criminals drove a vehicle through the wall , stole as many guns as possiable , and took off . Firearms are a high value target for thiefs.....sorry for your loss ; hopefully the police can track the guns down before they are sold into the criminal underworld.....

We actually have 6 of these

You know what I don't see in any of those picture releases? Fog.

What a stupid system as well. Let's say they continue with the heist, they're going for few items to begin with ((20 guns? Big deal; you can easily carry more in a duffel if you go for short arms, or jammed in the top of an old Kit bag)). Lets say a cop does arrive on scene at the front lights going, siren so that people get the #### out his way on the street; now they have a smoke screen covering up their exit out the back door. Because this is Canada that door is required to be unlocked from the inside to allow for fire escape; with a CLEAR path for FAST exit in case of fire.

I am not impressed.

You wait till the second hit to post a night watch until new measures are put into place?

You don't start packing up the display cases into safes until the new steel screens are installed?

Time and money? I see general stock commercial windows, display tampered glass, not even a retention cable threaded through the trigger wells of pistols on display to prevent/inhibit theft.

LeverFever's right. Any one of us poor slobs left our guns out behind glass and they busted into the house and we're goners.

I am sorry to hear this happened, because of where such arms most likely end up.
