Bren Ten vs Fortis

I love the 10 mil. So far I've got a 1006 , restricted Glock 29 and a Delta Elite is on the way. Looking forward to the new Bren Ten as well.

Thanks Sonny, err I mean Koldt! Very interesting. Fortis is the manufacturer? What's the history?

On a tangent, I thought the 10 mm was kind of dead except for a niche market. Or is it alive and well? I remember years ago that Auto Ordnance (IIRC) offered a bunch of top ends for the 1911, including 10 mm. How come everyone is not doing this today doing this on the 1911 platform.

If you don't like the 10mm, it will also come in .45 ACP.

Were you down at SHOT, koldt?

Nope. I'm gone 10-12 times a year shooting. I have to pick and choose a bit more wisely this year. So I stayed home. Next year.
Kevin has camped out at my place more than once, so maybe this year I'll head to Florida and visit him. I'll bring the family and get brownie points at the same time.:D

Witness mags won't fit into the Bren Ten... tried... Fortis was the old name that VLTOR was using for the Bren Ten remake. They have since been able to secure the Bren Ten name and the Fortis is now called the Bren Ten. That made sense didn't it? hehe... I believe a 4.25" barreled version of the Bren Ten will be available too. YIPEEE!!!

Sure, but the Fortis Bren Ten will use Witness mags. Just a design change to help simplify thing I guess.

yup... just to clarify, I have a Bren Ten (original) and a Witness. I do know that the VLTOR Bren Ten will use the Witness mags... kind of a shame, but I applaud VLTOR for getting the Bren Ten started again. Just wish I could find extra mags for my original that didn't cost an arm and leg.

You're kiddin right?
The CZ design is one of the classics in the pistol world
No I was serius, I don't mind classic CZ design (I have a 75B myself) I just don't like the changes they made to it. Tanfoglio/Witness 10mm - now those are pretty!
