At an absolute minimum you would need a recognized holster course.
I would highly advise that you talk to other shooters at your club and see if there is a place you can be shown and practice some of the skills you will need to do this safely. I don't think that the place to learn is at a match during a course of fire.
There will be lots more matches this summer and you can get your feet wet then.
