My understanding is that the heavier 173 grain bullets are more optimal for the 21H.
I have a load with 175 gr RN bullets too but it only goes 2300fps
Not trying to make it a 7x64 but I think I should be able to get +-2650 with 154gr bullets?

Woodwork looks immaculate!
Thanks, got her to how I like it. I also have two Elite 3500's that mount beautifully in Warnes QD high rings... one is a 2-7x32 that allows me use of the iron sights if I so want (and I do), and a 3-9x40 that requires the rear sight to be removed and a slot blank added (which I also have). The standard CZ rings, which are extra high, give me more options, but I prefer the Warnes QD. The turned down bolt was, apparently, a factory option prior to 1956 and ZG-47 tooling, and it does appear to be original to the rifle. The handle is super neatly brazed (not welded) onto the bolt body and is made of a nickel-steel (same purple-black hue as the original shroud). The stock cut-out also looks original, with original finish. All-in-all a real slick and lightweight package!
I went with Warne ql in high also but probably would have worked with mediums {leupold 3x9 compact],I left the sights od and plan to use them also.
I just recieved my bear tag ,so the plan is to use the Brno {8x57]with the S&B 196 SP,I have the Hornady"s now but no range access fyi, kelly
love the rifle, hate the scope mount.
