I bought one in 8 x 57 R as I have my fixed bbl o/u BRNO in 9.3x74 (which I love)
Certainly not the quality of the old BRNOs... the receiver is not one piece cast for example. they are still a bit clunky and heavy for the caliber, but again, they appear to have only one size of receiver. It may be better suited to a larger caliber.
The scope mount also has moved American, in that instead of a sensible 11mm or 16mm rail like they used to have built in, they went to a cap screwed in mini weaver type rail - ugly.
The adjustable bbls work out very well. The little set screws are very finicky as you can well imagine. But with a little patience, I got it hitting say 1-2 inch groups at 100 yds with my handloads (220 gr Sierras at ... a good healthy velocity).
I dont view it as a tack driver, and like my other double rifles, know the limits of them, which has never stopped them from being some of the best rifles in the field I have ever used.
Given the time to play with it more, I think I can do better, but it is a very good gun... price vs. value is always debatable but I think it was worth the money.
BTW - I will not use a double rifle with a single trigger. Thechances of doubling get higher and the point of a double rifle is to be able to shoot a seconf bbl if the first one fails. If you need a recoil to set the second bbl (like many rifles) it is not for me.
