Brno zkw 465 did they only come in 22 hornet ? what wildcats do you guys have in it?

I know what you mean...I thought (imagined?) that I had good memories of the few that I had handled in gunstores a few decades back and of course, I was influenced by all the praise that I have heard from present-day owners of the 465, but it just didn't pan out for me. In general I am fond of early Brno firearms (my personal all-purpose .22 is a Brno Model 5 and my personal all-purpose hunting rifle is a Brno ZKK 600), but I just didn't care for the 465. In terms of fit, finish and general handiness it did not compare with my mid-50's Sako L46 fullstock .222 Rem. and in terms of subjective personal appeal it wasn't even close.

Hmmm, I have a 50’s Sako-Annie L46 in .222, it’s nice but I like my 465 better. I think the Brno is a 48 or 49, I think I will have to check. I think the early L46 Sako full stock is the nicest rifle Sako has ever made.

Yes, the "early L46 Sako full stock is the nicest rifle Sako has ever made."

No matter what the Sako collectors try to claim, for Sako it all went gradually downhill from there.

Depend if the buyer is a shooter, probably a plus... as it's supposed to increase brass life.
- If found that going to Liltlegun also increase brass life (and get good accuracy)

Incredible accuracy. 12.3grs of lil’gun and the 30gr barnes varmint grenade is a wicked combo. I miss my 465

A fullstock 465... Mmm-m-m... that would be interesting.

Thats just what Krico made 1954-63, with their clone of the Brno 465.

Oh! So pretty.... But I'd hate to think of the challenge to find a spare magazines for a Krico...

Why does everyone always need a "spare magazine?"

Is it assumed that you will lose the original one?
Or is it necessary for quick reloading when being attacked by gophers?

After all, one doesn't automatically assume that you need a spare bolt.

I have one. 1965 iirc. The two trigger set trigger was altered when I bought it, now only having the set trigger. I like the gun, but I’m going to try to get a gunsmith to put a timney trigger in it. If successful this will be a good improvement.

Yep...And all the bolts that folks had stored separate from their rifles over the years and forgot about or croaked. I've been on some very interesting picking missions over the years.

So do you buy spare bolts for your rifles? That must get expensive.

I see one of the Krico clones for sale. Fullstock w/ DST and it is expensive.
Listed as being a "single shot conversion" without further explanation.
