If you are concerned about quality, you don't need to be. There is nothing wrong with the quality. There are lots of CGN's who hate A-bolts regardless of where they were manufactured. I have had my Japanese made A-bolt SS, .270 for about 17 yrs. It is hands down, my favourite hunting rifle. Accurate, light, better than average trigger and a short bolt handle lift. I like the magazine set up. I can carry the loaded magazine in my pocket and quickly pop it in place, without fumbling with cartridges in the cold, rain etc.. The only negative is that the it isn't the slickest action to work. Other than that, my Japanese A-bolt has never failed or frustrated me.
