Browning A Bolt

If the Abolts "mag-clip" is "miles ahead" of Remingtons than an HR Handi-Rifle is freaking galaxies ahead of them all.

As much as I despise A-Borts, they shoot. I've shot a couple more than a few and all managed sub-moa with ease.

But what rifle doesn't?

Remingtons

98% of Remingtons with off the shelf ammo will never see the under side of 1.5 moa or even worse. you can get some of them to hit an moa with a LOT of load development. There are 5 Remingtons in my locker and the only 1 the shoots decent is the old 788- 22-250. Now I could send them to a gun smith and have them Accurized ( gun smiths love Remington's for this reason ), but I think I'll replace them with Brownings or Savages.

You folks must be either terrible shooters, terrible handloaders or both.

Id put money on the fact that I could make ANY out of the box centerfire print sub 1.5 MOA@100 with factory ammo. Hell Ill limit my factory ammo to only Federal just to make it interesting...I'll even shoot the groups prone off a pack. Only because I dont ever shoot off benches/bags.

I currently own two A-Bolts...the first is my all time favorite Micro Medallion in .308 Winchester, and the other is a stainless stalker A-Bolt II in .375 H&H. They both shoot really well, and I love the way they handle. The mag system is different than others, but it works just fine for me. One thing that is cool about it is that you can top the mag off without unloading the chamber, of course this is true for all detachable magazine fed rifles I suppose.

Many rifles have been bought and sold while these two stayed in my gun safe and watched the others go. ;)

Realy, I was a die hard Remington fan till I shot a quality made rifle.Although I do love there new triggers .

I've got a Stainless Stalker in 300wsm and it's great to shoot very accurate and I also had the trigger tamed down to 2lbs, as I get older a crave lighter triggers.
With handloads using RL-17 and Accubond 180 turns out to be just the ticket for the job

Im a big fan of my A-bolt, and I much prefer the bolt and action over the remingtons. It shoots plenty accurate as well.

Im not sure what they started doing to the new remingtons but the bolts feel sloppy to me. Add a synthetic stock to a cheap remingtons and they look like a kids toy.

Im not even sure why remington fans are bringing up triggers either. Not after what was going through the news a while back.

After seeing what I can do with a Savage Edge with its' crappy scope and terrible trigger I would tend to agree with you. But if you're trying to defend Remington's reputation, I don't think people are particularly bashing their capabilities of hitting MOA with them. Quality control and overall design has taken a bit of a hit in the last couple of years.

Perhaps one that you would have trouble with would be the new Marlin 336 at 100m.

These where shot from the back of a moving 1/2 ton, prone off the tail gate, thats how we shoot out west.
