After seeing your other posts it seems you do own a Benelli. How many shells has it seen?
This post is turning into credential justification of who knows the most about shotguns or firearms and how many rounds fired.
Yes I do own only one Benelli Super Black Eagle II and have owned it for about 2 years now and guessing it has seen about 2500 rounds thus far without a glitch because it's the only semi I need now. This was an upgrade from the Nova I had for 4.5 years. When I bought the Nova, that was an upgrade from an 1100. The 1100 was an upgrade from an Auto-5. The Auto-5 was an upgrade from an 870 Wingmaster. The Wingmaster was an upgrade from a 1300. I don't even know how many guns I have owned.
I could go on and on but would make this post too long. From Mavericks, to Mossys, to Coeys in the form of several different calibers to 410, 20, 28, 12, 16, being single shots to pumps to semis, I have seen most of them. That is besides all the rifles and hanguns over the years I have handled or shot. Never got a chance to shoot them all as I was a buyer, seller black market dealer until the RCMP came knoking at my door to give me a warning. I have since become a Firearms verifier for the RCMP as I have a background as a weapons Instructor from a Corrections College. Being a Corrections Officer, I have trained hours on end blindfolded with a good old 870 security 18" barrel which will still use in service today.
Firearms are evolving as some are staying or even going backwards in quality and workmanship. But now you have companies that are truely competing for the best guns out there and are using the lastest technologies to do so. Tom Knapps has a Benelli with a recorded over 300,000 rounds sitting in the Benelli museum and still works good. Having been raised and brainwashed with an 870, and after handling a Nova, it was like another generation of pumps that I had never handled before. The decade statement may have bit out of line that I agree, but anyone that states that there is a better shotgun out there better handling, durable, long lasting and rust free than a Benelli, to me is someone that needs to do a bit of research with hand on experience and get the facts. In today's Law Enforcement, many still go with the 870. Why? Affordable, period. Give them the budget, they will pick a Benelli as did the British and US military with the M1014 or the M4 Super 90. And in my opinion, you can take that to the bank.
Now let's get back to the original post, shall we?
