Im interested in the buck mark pistol for my first and only pistol.

What are peoples thought on the matter?

I like it for the price point and the cost of the ammo being .22lr.

Thanks.

My wife has the buckmark camper stainless.

We like it very much. Nice looking without looking like a .22lr ray gun.

Been reliable for us and easy to clean.

OP:

Get it, you will NOT regret it.

It's a great shooting, accurate, reliable, and just plain FUN pistol.

I'm kicking myself for selling it and buying a Chiappa .22 f:P:2:

I've got a "UDX Plus", which I quite like although the grips are a little small for my hands.
Different 'models' of the Buckmark have different grips, so you may want to try out a few. Really like the fiber optic front sight on the UDX.

...."first and only pistol"

Well 'first' anyway!

Another option is the S&W 422 on the EE. That was my first buy. I sold mine, and regret it. New shooters loved it as much as me. Great balance and took any ammo I fed it. Although I payed $250 used with 2 mags and never could find extra mags. They are hard to come by. By the way it will hold its value, I got what I payed for it.
I had a Buckmark stainless camper on order for months but gave up waiting. All I've heard is good things about them.
Get it, I'm sure you will be happy.
Good price for your first purchase, but I bet it won't be your last.
The Glock 9mm with a AA .22 is the smart move, but your looking at around 1k.

The browning Buckmarks are excellent shooters, I can hit a loonie at 25 meters easily. I have two Buckmarks First is a 1992 Buckmark Nickle, Second is a 2011 Buckmark Standard URX. You will not be disappointed.

I wanted to buy a Browning Contour URX in 5.5" but couldn't find one so I bought the S&W 22A-1 instead. Pretty happy with it. I see that P&D has a Contour URX in stock now.

I used the Range Trainer's Buckmark in my Member range training, many "clicks-nothing", misfires 1 out of 5. It was good for misfire safety training. My Relative has a Ruger Mark 111 and not as many "no goes", maybe 1 out of 30.

I shot a Steel Challenge match yesterday with mine, and didn't have one. Not one failure. I ran about 400 rounds through it. Mine has been excellent. I bought the Practical URX

The only problem with mine is that it doesn't get used enough. I have had a few fte and ftf's but considering i am shooting hand me down bulk walmart ammo, I am blaming the ammo. I have some Blaser ammo, but haven't shot it yet.

Our club Buckmark use to be like that, at least one misfire per mag. I bought the gun myself and have never had a problem. Only thing I changed was the ammo I was feeding it. At the club we were using WW Wildcat. I guess it just didn't like it.

Good pistol. You have to do a trigger job (sear spring flip) to get a better trigger pull. As accurate or better than Ruger Mark III/2245.

I have a stainless camper that i bought for the gf to come out and shoot. Have to admit i like shooting the little think too. Sofar i put around 3500-4000 rounds with no issues what so ever using federal champion bulk 525 pack. Very accurate too.
