Superior to the 1911 design imho. The CZ is essentially a copy.
The 85 has ambi controls, but that is essentially the only thing going for it.
If you are a lefty, I'd recommend getting used to the right handed controls of most pistols.
Once you have trained enough, it's doubtful you would switch back, or change your use from pistol to pistol.
I'm a lefty, and have a CZ85, still go through drills like I would any other pistol.
My bigest beefs with the CZ is the slide is smallish, and the controls suck.
Without a decocker, I really see no point to the DA on the 85.
At the end of the day, I think if you took both and tweeked them slightly, you'd be happier with a High Power.
Also, I think if you look around, you should be able to get the HP for slightly less $$$$
