What is the barrel,20 or 24 in?
I recently bid up to $1000 for a real nice one at a local gun auction, the other bidder took it for $1050. I was offered to buy one at the last Brandon Gun Show for $1200. but I didn't. Maybe shoulda, yep for sure, I should have! and I recently saw one on the EE advertised for $1800. and the next thing I saw, it was marked SPF. So, with dings etc, I'd say somewhere slightly under a thou.
Saw that, $1800 for a standard 71. There is no accounting for what some guys will pay for a certain gun if they happen to have a severe desire to get one. To me the only 71's worth that kind of money are deluxe rifles in excellent shape or 71 carbines, which are scarce.
