Maybe it's an antique or the serial numbers got lost in the transformation. ( they almost look visible on the upper right corner of the receiver in one of your pictures)
Should be a good beater if it shoots well.
The op said it has Japan stamped on it, so that means it was made after 1974... All guns prior to that were made in Belgium at FN Herstal, 1914-1974...

Look close under the paint......the edge detail is visible.
Jesus....this is why I don't buy guns on the EE. Don't know piss from paint!
Paint=Parkerized=Anodized..... And not even good paint like Guncote/Cerracote, straight up tremclad.
