Browning Vs Beretta

browning

I had a browning superpose lightening trap gun and it was awsome to shoot and was built to operate smooth and yet it was easy to open and close with little effort, the machining was excellent. I have never owned a beretta so i can't comment on that one but thumbs up for the browning superpose.

Berettas are a nice gun. I only own a Beretta semi auto but I must say the quality is amazing and it just fits me great. Try them both and see what fits you, there both great gun makers.

I shoot the Beretta Xtrema and I wouldn't trade it for any gun out there.

Like said above the quality it great and never had a single problem/jam.

I've never heard a comlaint about the Brownings and they have been recommended however they are to pretty for me :D

I've owned both over the years and prefer the Beretta over/under.

Berettas have always handled better for me. Browning's underlug locking system makes for a tall and narrow receiver compared to the lower and wider profile Beretta action. I've always felt Berettas a little more lively and responsive.

I prefer Beretta's system of safety/barrel selection as opposed to the H-style on the Browning and Beretta ejectors are little sturdier and less complicated than the Browning.

Berettas have consistently fit me better than Brownings. Beretta usually builds some right hand cast into their stocks while Brownings are more often dead straight particuarly their target models.

These are all pretty minor points and just one opinion. I think a shooter would be well served with either the Browning 525 or the Beretta 682E but the Beretta would be my choice.

Beretta fans are beretta fans, I have a Browning because it fits me (about 3/4" shorter than factory) I love mine I have yet to faind a beretta that I like but I kknow alot of guys that love them.

I am a lefty so we all know where I am headed, Love the Beretta's but just too much involved($$$$) To get them fitted to me. Your mileage may vary!!

I currently own a Browning Citori Gran Lightning in mint condition with gorgeous wood.
After handling some Beretta guns, they seem to be lighter (whether they are or i'm not sure) and are more lively than my Browning, maybe it's in my head but thay definately feel quicker, maybe it's the balance

I was thinking of maybe selling my Browning and getting a Beretta

Nothing wrong with my gun,it's a beautiful gun-----BUT:rolleyes:

should you then ask the question, maybe that your browning doesn't fit you as well as a beretta? if that's the case is there anything you can adju to make it fit you better???

I own and shoot A Beretta 686 Special Sporting. Have shot several of 682's and 687's, all seem to fit me right out of the box. The fit and finish is extremely well done. Can't fault Italian craftmanship. The low style action and balance make for a very lively gun in the hands. Just perfect for a low gun start on Sporting or for that matter all shotgun work. The Brownings I've shot feel clunkier to me and are not(in my opinion) as well made or fitted. Before buying try as many models as possible. When you pick up a gun you will know instantly if it's for you or not. When I bought mine I had a 325 and my 686 on the counter. Fell in love with the Beretta right there.:)

That's what i was thinging, they do feel lively as compared to my Browning,it's not that i can't hit the clays, MAYBE i couyld hit them faster with a Beretta:rolleyes: :D (plus i get to buy another gun)

It's best not to do too much gun borrowing because then you want to buy other guns. ;)

If someone offers you the chance to shoot a round with a Perazzi I'd recommend you decline. Once you do, you won't be happy until you own one.

I think the Beretta 682E with 32" barrels is the best shotgun around in its price range.

Just don't let anyone convince you to try a Perazzi. :D

Actually, i have not borrowed any guns, not even shot a Beretta. One of my good customers is a firearms dealer and while i was at his office discussing bus. i was in the back storeroom playing with all kinds of guns while drinking good Italian coffee as well  Shotguns galore,rifles,drillings----candy store :)

Damn. What I wouldn't give to have a client that's a firearms dealer.

On second thought it's probably better that I don't. ;)
