I've been wanting one of these for ages, so finally broke down and bought one. Even got the fake suppressor so I can look like an idiot at the range. Any of you gun nutz have some insights into the fun factor of this gun?

If they made a TP45, I'd buy one. But not a nine....

Why 9 is cheaper to shoot?

IMHO the TP9 is the best 9mm subgun ever made, better then the MP5. Why? Because it is smal, light, dependable and accurate. If 9mm didn't go out of favour it would be giving the mp5k a run for it's money. I never fired it in FA but from what I have read it performs very well. This is firearm were the 5 round limit in Canada really takes away from the fun factor...

I had one and regret selling it.I wish we could get the model without that front grip on it.It just looks weird to me.
I will probably pick up another one in the future because i realy did enjoy shooting it.

The TP9 is a fine piece. It's very light, quite accurate. Boringly reliable.

Things I don't like: Mags don't drop free. Can't insert a loaded mag on a closed bolt, due to the location of the neuter pin. Small mag release, bolt release and safety.

I've fired both the MP5 and TP9. The MP5 is heavy and large in comparison. Makes the TP9 feel like a squirt gun. The TP9 gives up nothing to the MP5 in terms of accuracy, at least not in my experience. I didn't mind the trigger. If you run a GLOCK you'll be used to it.

I just traded mine for an AR. I'll probably regret trading it, as usual.:)

Wolverine had some at one point. I am kicking myself for not buying one.

I too love the TP9, never should have sold it. But in its replacement I got a CZ Skorpion which may be underpowered to it but I think it is more neat. + i love the terrorist look of it.

I'm excited to try it out. Will do a side by side comparison with my UMP 9mm. I handled one at TSE, and liked the way I could pull the gun tight to my body. I ordered it from Wolverine; the Aimpoint combo they have for $2495.

Can you get the M1913 railed top covers through them?

RE: the TMP vs UMP. The UMP is a fine gun. But is enormous. It is easily Sig 552/553 dimensions with limited comparative firepower.

To me this pointed to no real advantage outside of owning a REALLY bleeding edge cool, ultra expensive toy. To wit, I would keep your 553 CQB (rare anyway) over a UMP in any config, any day.

But the TMP is a very attractive package size. It doesn't pretend to be a carbine, hovering closer to the large pistol. Concealable. Portable. Capable. Chicks dig it.

It is an ultimate "throw in my BOB" zombie apocalypse offering. The firepower per portability factor is awesome.

Totally agree.
