My P89 will group 7 rounds in 1 inch ragged hole at 15 yards off a rest. That is good enough for me.

That was awesome and more than answered my questions. The on-line instruction manual for the Ruger makes it out that you have to keep your thumb on the de-cocker lever, which clearly by your video, you do not. It is much the same as the Beretta tha I tried. Thanks a ton for the vid and pics.

The P94 looks cosmetically like one of the nicer Rugers....mechanically hopefully it is one of the better ones also. The price seems to be noted as "Distributor exclusive" on the Ruger site. This usually means more expensive then similar products from my experience. Expect mid-high 500's (575USD) = $690 in Queen-backs. CZ still better value. Nine, You're correct!! I am a CZ owner! I am also a Ruger owner (unfortunately) and am speaking from experience.

95% sure this was the pistol that Pop had. Not only was I inaccurate with it but my Dad, a shooter for many years complained about it's accuracy too. It jammed like a flakey girl friend. He traded it in for a Hi-Standard...."No Problemo now".

Constantly jams!!! Drives me nuts! I will try new ammo. At the range last month, a fella had the same rifle and complained about it jamming up all the time. I found the release for the mag and the install of the mag awkward, and the mag itself is much more of a pain to load then the straight clip mags.

(Similar to above) felt chunky, and test shot the Ruger vs CZ 75b. I was notably more accurate with CZ. After that and a lot of research I went with a CZ. I too was in search for a good value 9mm. Value means quality for the money you pay. CZ is a bit more but worth it. Unfortunately I can't remember the site, but there is a web site where 100's of people rate their firearms 1-5 stars. Some of the info is BS but with so many responses a reader would get a sense of what generally might be decent or junk.
Some times you pay for what you get. If you want to go cheap..cheap consider a good quality used pistol.. I guess there is always Norinco if bucks are a problem.

Stevr, other then your P89 feeling chunky in your hand and you were more accurate with a CZ....how was the fit(parts)/function of your P89? I have considered these too and I guess I can determine pistol size when I handle one but curious about how it fed/ejected, sights, trigger pull, ease of disassembly?

FWIW, I really liked my P89, it was a good shooter. I dunno about some people's experiences, but I have never had a single problem with any of my Rugers. (currently have 4; 22/45 MKII & MKIII, 10/22, and P97, have sold off 2 10/22 customs and stupidly traded my P89)
Get what you want, and sort it all out later! :lol: :wink: :mrgreen:

The knock on the CZ would be that the illuminated sights were very Non-illuminated in a shaded area and the trigger is tiny bit of a stretch for my trigger finger (but that is just a comfort/getting used to it thing..) . I have nothing significantly bad to say about the CZ. I have shot 3000 rds through my CZ and it HASN"T JAMMED. That is pretty amazing man.
