If you want the best optics I would recommend ONLY Swarovski or Leica - you're looking at $4000 - 4500.00. However, no hunting for the big games allowed in Canada
so you can buy $100.00 scope and will work.
I am totally out to lunch here... what rings fit this rifle? 16mm? The $90 CZ ones must not be the only option?
Yes just 16mm rings. They are specific to the 527.
These seem hard to find or am I missing something else? Wish some came with the rifle...
Yes they are hard to find. I believe they came from factory with rings? Either way lots of them no longer have rings with them. They get removed and sold.
Apparently "budget" is a subjective term...... anywhere from $100-$4500.....![]()

That will fit the rifle? I was thinking of one of these "AR Bushnell" optics... but I guess if there is an AK one it makes more sense.
2-7 Leupold VX1 is a nice fit

^ Thanks... it looks like a good option...
This is probably a stupid question, is a scope rated for 223 really that much different for rifle in X39? Seems like the internet has different opinions... no surprise there I suppose.
Nikon Monarch 3 2-8x32, Redfield Revenge 2-7x34, etc. Don't really need much more magnification than that as the effective hunting range for the 7.62x39 is usually with 200yds.I, too, am in the process of purchasing and getting a 527 carbine in x39 scoped for spring. I think I'm going to go with the Warne maxima 16mm medium height rings but haven't decided on a scope yet. This thread has been helpful and...entertaining, to say the least.Anyone have any recommendations on something in the 400$-700$ range for a low to medium powered variable?
