I picked up a Burris AR-536 for my Tavor it was on sale for just under $400 its a 5x scope they also have the AR-332 its a 3x scope. They have a red/green lighted ballistic CQ reticle which is nice and they are compact so they don't take up the entire top rail like most sporting scopes and burris makes good glass.

Daver II,This thread worried me for a minute. $1200 is quite the "budget" Thought you were going to put a NCStar or something on your $3000 rifle.
The DR is nice,
An Aimpoint or EOtech with or without a magnifier is an option.
1-4X optic works as well. (Vortex PST or similar)
Acog for a fixed magnification.
Another option would be the SIG optics whenever they arrive.
Or you could look the CQT? by leupold? I think that is what it is called... someone will correct me if I am wrong.
Daver II,
Did you mean the D-EVO? It's a 4x fixed power but still needs a conventional red dot ( not supplied) to work. The D-EVO itself will be close to 1k when it gets here and you still need a Eotech, Aimpoint or Trijicon,or somesuch.
Do you find the reticle markings to be too thick? The outer ring and the main dot look a little wide to me in videos ive watched on them.....I've also looked at the burris mtac combo as well with the ff red dot.
Pretty sure the last price I saw for a D-EVO in CAD was $1800.
Everyone is trying to get the balance of that low power reaction sight and the advantages of moderate magnification. Piggy backed red dots, variable scopes, they're all gunning for the same goal.
