You know what's funny, most people here prefer the VZ-58 over the AK but it seems we want it more to look like an AK, including me.
But why? The 858 lever is more ergonomical.?
looking awesome , when can we start ordering ?
Kevin, I havent read through the entire thread but just wondering ---- would you be making any Romanian style handguards?![]()
I just got off the phone with a dealer in the states that has bearings I need for my duplicator. They should be here within a few days, then I will need to fully assemble the duplicator.
Once that is done, I will do a trial run of probably 10-20 stocks to make sure all goes well with the construction. That run will probably be ready in a few weeks, and once that is done, then I will start full scale production making any changes requested by the first set of buyers.
If all goes well, I hope to be in a steady run within two monthes.

if you useing a duplicator will you be able to bring to retail price down to somthing that will work for the mass market?
Dealer priceing?
if you planing to sell these are they going to be finished ready to go or unfinished?

.
My current problem is that the duplicator will only "rough out" the parts. There is still a tremendous amount of sanding, tooling, and fitting need once the blank is roughed out to a useable stage.
Why not sell them in the "rough" at DIY prices where the end user can finish them as required.
This way you broaden your market to those who may have the skills and time but not the cash (everyone needs a winter project).
