Sorry I've got no clue. Was only suggesting another gauge as an option. The other possibility is it's a barely misses on the go. I can only tell you what I've read which is availiable to you on the internet as well. I would remove the barrel and try the bolt like that.
There are guys with a ton of experience on here and would be more help than me. Maybe your colt has a chamber with enough room to pass ( a possibly) damaged gauge but not the dd or aero?
the thing that dont make senece is the DD barrel and aero barrel both seem fine no damage and the gauge looks fine as well i bought them a month ago from brownells the a clymore gauges which are good gauges. your help has been great thanks you.
if anyone has an option or has run into this please chime in.
i do have an NEA 14.5 barrel on order i will try that one when it comes in.
i have tried the gauge with the barrel removed from the upper and it wont rotate to achive complete lock up with the barrel extenstion.
