it is a start, only broke one 6mm cutter, had to edm it out. it is a lot to learn

can't you buy an 80% billet for less than a $100?....You look like you are a few hours away from completion. What I don't understand, is that you will end up with a lower receiver, without a serial number, therefore can't be registered, for a restricted rifle? aka, paperweight?

When AR owners point out they "build" rifles it is not exactly correct because their rifles are only assembled. Well this one is a true build with a ton of satisfaction. Once this is completed and has the fire control void machined out it must be serial numbered and registered which is identical to an 80%. 375 can choose any combination he chooses for a registration Id.

Great stuff.

You Got to make video of dialling in the buffer tube thread. the tool setup, the details of the thread minor diameter, and how to keep in concentric to the centre line of the locator pins, or what is its centre line to? Also, are there not some situations where you need a really long drill bit for detents and reaming pins? Please tell me about your tooling. And have you found a plating company that will throw it in with other aluminum? Most places want a minimum order to anodize don't they?

Keep us posted.

Posts like this are the reason why I regret going into the IT world after high school. Kudos to you 375!

Thanks. I took second career to learn cnc, when I got down sized after 14 tears, I mean years. please have no regrets in life, it is way to short. If I can learn this anyone can.
