Send me a PM'ed message. I got a spare here (Norinco 22") donated by another kind CGNutter who wants me to "pay it forward".
Do this, remove that s2pid set screw on the right side of your receiver and I can do the replacement. Fast turnaround since there is no headspace/finish reaming involved.
I would be proud to say that we have the MOST helpful forum here on CGNutz and here's part of the proof!I'm working part time at a gun counter in Barrie this summer so I have some spare time in between sniper matches.
I can turn it around, just cost ya the shipping to and from my location in Georgian Bay, ONT.
There... no need to spend a whack of money. Just lemme keep the spare junker barrel, I need the stub and the gas cylinder collar.![]()
Cheers and keep helping them noobs around here!

Barney is always there to help poor misguided CGNers
Going USGI, high speed barrels are always an option as some have mentioned, but it's going to be an expensive one because one will inevitably buy not just barrel, gas system, etc but also a new bolt. It's all downhill from there.
I think we'd all benefit from a picture of the entire barrel(take the handguard off) to show where the bulge is. A replacement norinco barrel is an easy, obvious option. The possible other option is that you might be able to cut down the barrel to make a shorty M14....maybe.

And that's why I'm a religion teacher! yuk yuk yuk
