Lol, he keeps telling me about all the moose he spots, when he goes in alone. Yet in the four times I've been in with him,I've only seen two. I started to think I was schlep Rock

I got 34 inchs
I think the biggest taken here in Newfoundland (Eastern Canadian moose) were in the upper 50's range. We can boast, however, of virtually ALL of the largest woodland caribou records in the entire world.
I have taken 2 "larger" moose of the non-Alaskan/Yukon variety.
One was 50½" spread, the other 56" Big moose are fine, but IMHO,
overrated. I would much sooner eat a smaller bull like yours. I have taken
a lot of moose in 50+ years of hunting, and the younger ones are
usually the best table fare. D.

Nice on to mount on the wall next to the wood stove to dry mittens on.
I shot a nice bull years ago in area 43 that measured 49" across. He's mounted on my living room wall.

Fine table fare. There are tougher cuts regardless of age, and there are methods for tenderizing those.
Im curious to know what the options are for preserving a set of antlers?

Antlers left outside in direct sunlight and in the weather eventually turn a faded grey color. Antlers in my collection are kept inside and haven't done that at all. Some have been in my trophy room for years and continue to retain natural color without any maintenance.
