Bullpup SKS?

Ah I see, only saw this now....

PROHIBITED DEVICES
Former Prohibited Weapons Order, No. 9

1. Any electrical or mechanical device that is designed or adapted to operate the trigger mechanism of a semi-automatic firearm for the purpose of causing the firearm to discharge cartridges in rapid succession.

2. Any rifle, shotgun or carbine stock of the typeknown as the “bull-pup” design, being a stock that, when combined with a firearm, reduces the overall length of the firearm such that a substantial part of the reloading action or the magazine-well is located behind the trigger of the firearm when it is held in the normal firing position.

Just another example of daft laws....considering T97's and Tavors

It's that day again :)! (or was it bullpup Firdays?)

Isn't the Tavor a bull pup?

Tavor is a bullpup but it was a purposely manufactured bullpup. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's because the Tavor is inoperable without its stock that makes it OK?

The SKS is not prohibited, but the bullpup conversion / stock is.

"BULLPUP STOCKS" are prohibited. The actual stock used to convert a standard format firearm into a bull pup configuration itself is the prohibited device. Not the firearm.

Tavors, Type 97s, Pumas, M17s, etc etc etc are not fitted into stocks.

Just having the stock itself, without any sort of firearm to fit it would put you in possession of a prohibited device. Like brass knuckles are prohibited. Or 30 round AR mags.

This thread totally delivers!

Always wanted a bullpup stock... But I shoot lefty... A little hard on the face.... No damage to the face, just hurts :).... A little . I think I looked at an SKS bullpup conversion stock a couple of years ago, love the look of them, the steel version and the woody.
Would love to have one and the lefty (bolt) conversion have already be done by another CNGer, so you know it can be done.
