I just got an email from Tanfoglio with a picture and short description of a new bullpup carbine of theirs.

According to their website, it's called the "Appeal".

http://www.tanfoglio.it/eng/news/appeal.html

Single action Bullpup semiautomatic rifle with polymer stock and rail for mounting the scope mount.
It has a manual safety on the trigger and an automatic safety at the firing pin.
It has a reversible cocking lever and ejector for being used by right or left hand shooter.
The front and rear sight are adjustable.
The magazine holds 10 rds. (5 rds. for the Italian market).

Ugly carry handle, but it can probably be machined off and a rail bolted to the top of the rifle.
Carry handle looks to be all plastic and cosmetic, Im not sure about the little piece over the ejection port.
This is what it could look like.
Quick paint job

Holy offset batman! What a stupid design. Even with the rail removed it still looks like it came from the set of "Planet of the Apes".

If you don't like how it looks don't buy it, others will.

if it was .22 cal i would take it. but if they prohibited the walther bullpup .22 whats going to stop them from making this one prohib too?

Well, personally, I think it looks OK.

I wish there was more firearm design where they aren't trying super hard to make a gun look like some tactical-commando gun, but they aren't trying to make the gun look like a wood-stock hunting weapon either.

Its not the looks that are the concern. Its the horrible offset that is the concern, and the inability to adjust the LOP to the user. Nothing new, nothing special. Pass...

Another picture of it.

If it has a normal LOP like other rifles it should be ok for most shooters, the 10/22 dosen't have a adjustable LOP and nobody complains about that.

Although I like the look of it somewhat, I'll pass on it too unless it comes in 9mm, maybe .22mag, maybe.
