Burris 2-8x35 on Savage 110 Trail Hunter Lite -350 Legend

Has the illuminated E3 reticle.

Seems like a great little option for 350L that falls Outa the sky past 250ish anyways. Can't see me needing anymore zoomies.

What do you guys run on your straight walls?

I treat my slug gun scope requirement like my center fire scope requirement. I like 3-12x56 or 3-15x56 or 3-18x56 for low light. I'd likely treat a straight wall build the same way
 
Going to try a CVLife 1-10x24 or maybe 2-10x32. Wanted a 1x but for shooting some close-up games, the 2-10 has an adj obj so it may be better in 30-50 distance, undecided

Most 56mm scopes come that way. I wouldn't mind a 2-8x56 but they don't make those. Also your not forced to zoom so much just because it's available. If you limit yourself to 3-10x56 on a 3-18x56 scope, you'll still do just fine in the hunting woods.

Yea I reduced some of my zoom range, after having a big mule deer buck walk out at like 10-15 yards and even 3x was just fur.

Muzzleloader now has a 2-7 Leupold
243 BAR has the same 2-7 Leupold
350 Legend has 2-8 Burris

I have other rifles with 3-9, 4-12 and 4-16 though.
 
I find the Burris FullField is a nice line of scopes. I picked up the 2.5 - 10 x 42 with the illuminated E3 but really wanted the 3-12 but unfortunately don't offer the illuminated E3 reticle for some reason. Well, the one I picked will have to do and it is a nice scope as this is my first Burris scope and looking forward to using it soon for coyotes on my 22 ARC.
 
I did the Burris signature HD 2-10x40 on the 450 BM, and only because the dial turret. I like having to dial it when past 100M because of the bullet drop involved. No way to accurately just hold over.

My furthest confirmed is just over 300yards so far. With a 34" drop, one could easily miss if not knowing the drops required. I push enough energy to comfortably go 400m if required, so an 86" drop. No way to hold that with out a turret to turn.

But yea, they are a nice little capable scope.

Yea they do fall outa the sky at 250 ish. But that's fine for me. If I know I may have to shoot further then I could just bring something else.

Here's the holds on my E3 reticle according to the Burris App. I may decide to order their custom turret for the 350.

I've always been interested in the E3 reticle and like how it's not a clutter when looking thru. It might not be 100% as for dead on but better then just guessing the hold over at long distance. Just a mater of practice and load development to make it work.

Also a lot of 350L seems to suggest a 150 zero. I can't do that on my range as I can't set up targets part way. Not allowed.

150 zero seems to allow minute of deer lung holding dead on from 50 to 200.

Seems that the holds on mine would be close enough to hit the deer out to 260ish using the BDC.

The app can also make a dope card for dialing, see below:

Couldn't you just run all your numbers through JBM, set the zero for 150 m, and then dial up whatever it tells you to go at 100 m?

Due to the cross lug on them. More designed for pic rails. They work fine on weaver but due to the limited rail length and the limited space to put the rings on the small scope. I had to flip one around .
