I'm looking for a new scope for a Tikka T3 SS .243 I just bought from a fellow CGN'er. I realize there's lots of options but I'm narrowing the choice down.
Does anyone have any practical comparison of a Burris Signature Select , Ballistic Plex, w. Posilock 3x10x40 Matte and a Leupold VX-III 3.5x10x40 Boone & Crocket , Matte ?
Primary usage is hunting and of course range practice.
Is the Burris posi-lock an advantage or cumbersome?
Both will take some range work to sort out the Ballistic reticle.
Both seem similarly priced, have multi-coated lenses, >95% claimed light transmission, both have a lifetime warranty, however Leupold service is in Canada. I haven't look thru either yet , and low light performance will likely be the deciding factor. Are there any other key differentiating factors? Appreciate any input.
thx,
Steve
