burris timberline

I haven't bought anything from Optics Planet...mostly because I'm the extremely patient kinda guy who waits out Ebay. :)

However, whenever checking around on pricing for anything optical I've found OP to be fairly representative of about as good a price as there is, short of one-off sales, to be had. And they seem to carry just about every major brand.

And several years ago they started catering to the Canadian market, too.

I believe they also will take (FRAUD ALERT) for payment.

For some reason I don't understand, Burris optics don't seem to be well represented in Canada.

But just a moment...

Just checked Elwood Epps' website, which indicates they are a Burris dealer.

I bought a used scope from these guys couple years back, seemed to be pretty good bunch to deal with. FWIW.

Ellwood Epps has the 2-7x 33mm Burris Timberline riflescopes in stock. These scopes (cat #201323) retail for $253.99 + taxes.

Please contact the gunroom at Epps for more information, or use our online ordering form, found on our website under the Purchases and Procedures tab.

pm sent...

i just talked to Opticplanet sales rep and they do ship to canada and will do all the paperwork for you. I would just have to answer a few questions about end user, country of destination and end use. they said that it usually only takes a few days to finish the paperwork.

I don't want to get into a arguement about what Optics Planet told you...however there is no possible way that the "paperwork" could be done in a couple of days. If this was the case then I would buy all my optics directly from US distributors. To export to Canada you would have to first apply for a Canadian import certificate, send that to the US seller who then would apply for a US export certificate. On a good day this would take at least a couple of months from start to finish. Unless these regs have just recently changed or the sales rep was mistaken this will take longer than they are leading you to believe. Phil.

i read the same thing from the sticky in the legal forum too, maybe they don;t know about the import permits on the canada side.

ive yet to find a dealer in canada with this model in stock, a few of them can order it. i was just considering optics planet cause their price is good and i was told that they can ship to canada.

im looking for the 4.5x14x32. i emailed you guys and got a reply back from dianne, she said that it will be 6-8 weeks.

Unfortunately, at this time we cannot ship any Burris products outside of the United States due to restrictions imposed by our manufacturer. The manufacturer has specified that United States dealers should not sell internationally to protect business rights of International dealers.

Although we cannot fulfill your order at this time, we do recommend that you search for the home page of the manufacturer you need. Please contact them directly for a list of international Burris dealers that you can purchase from.

We do ship most of our binoculars, spotting scopes, flashlights, tripods and accessories out of the country. If you are interested in any other brands of these products, please let us know and we will be happy to assist you with selecting a right product.

Thank you for your understanding and have a great day!

I really wanted to buy mine from Epps, but the non-negotiable $479 they were asking is f***ing ridiculous!

Buy it in Canada, warrantys can be a hassle with out of country purchases, and by the time you pay the duty it will be the same price anyay, and you will have it sooner.

Advan, did you find anyone else that carries the scope?

wasabi, if the dealer uses USPS to ship the customs fee is a flat $5 plus taxes.

The Burris Timberline scopes have been excellent sellers. The 4.5-14x32 AO has been one of our best selling models in the store, $297 (on back order hopefully in the next couple of weeks). The 2-7x26 is $233 and the 3-9x32 is $265 (both currently in stock). Phil.
