Burris warranty

Here is the reply from Burris - fast eh?

All repairs are to be sent to the Greeley, CO plant in the states or an optional repair center in Finland for our European customers.

Thank you,

Burris Company

Well if their turn around time for an email is any indication of how they do business and their apreciation for customers, i think i can confidentaly buy one of their scopes

Forever means whom ever sends it to them, actually its a company called Savy Optics?that does the work for Burris.... not too sure of the spelling. Most times I send a scope to them I get it back within 3 weeks. A week before the scope comes back they send a reciept in a letter format saying they recieved it. With returned scope comes a description of all repairs carried out. All in all a very effiecient turnaround. No problems with the warranty work cause it is not a "tactical" scope............

I sent a scope in because the eyepiece was broken - my fault. They fixed it and shipped it back 3 weeks to a month later. When I went to use it it was still hooped (no threads) so I sent it back again. Please remember I'm paying for shipping everytime. It takes easily a month and then I get a letter saying it can't be fixed, obsolete item, pick out a new scope.
Not being a prick and saying give me a black diamond, I look at the signature line (equal to what I had at the time). I get sent a price list so I can BUY myself a new WARRANTY scope.
I didn't have $ that second so I let it slide for about 2 weeks trying to figure out what to do. I received 2 letters stating I had to choose something as they tossed my old scope and I was holding them up. I picked a Fullfield2 ballistic plex, I felt I was rushed. Then I get to pay $80 import duty on top of the scope price which was no screaming deal because they wouldn't mark it as a warranty replacement. I could have bought the same scope here cheaper without having to wait 3 months.
BURRIS wrecked my hunt that year. I have no use for that company anymore.

I sent a 6X24X50 Black Diamond scope in twice now to be fixed. First repair was for a loose back eye bell. Scope functioned fine but thought I have cheaper scopes that the bell does not wobble on so why should I put up with this one doing it. Got it back in a decent amount of time if I remember correctly. Put it in the vault as I did not have a rifle I wanted to put it on at the time. When I took it out two years latter and started to use, it would not adjust the magnification. Paid shipping and sent it back in to be repaired again. Received an Email about a month ago that the scope was repaired and they were sending it back. Still have no idea where it is. I will never buy another Burris product.

Lol, a 21 year old necrothread revival. A record?
I wish more people would revive an old thread rather than start another on the same topic. Just try a search some time and see how many threads talk about the same topic. Sometimes dozens or pages of threads on a single topic, how is one supposed find anything in such a myriad of threads

Lots has changed in 20 years since the first post....

So I got an Email from Burris 6 weeks ago that my scope was fixed and functions as it should. 3 weeks after that Email I looked in my case file and the scope was picked up and sent out for delivery back to me. Tried to get ahold of the warranty dept to ask who the scope was shipped out with and if they had a tracking number. If I go into my account they have this case as marked closed. I started a new case and sent a question asking how the old case could be closed when I do not have the scope back. That was 10 days ago and no one has replied to give me shipping info or let me know where the scope is.
I would not recommend Burris products to anybody based on my experience with this warranty claim. Hope I get the scope back so I don't have to revive this thread in another 20yrs.
