Hello,
Tought I would post my latest experience with Bushnell. I had TWO (count 'em, TWO) Bushnell Legend 3x9x40's go snakey on my Rem 7400 .280. 2nd one was a factory replacement from Bushnell. When the 1st one failed to hold zero, I asked Bushnell to upgrade me to an Elite 3200, and instead I was sent another Legend. I told Bushnell that I did not think the Legend was shockproof, but to indulge them I installed and tested the replacement Legend. It took 30 shots to shake the second "Legend" loose on my .280 - could not group on a dinner plate at 100 yds. Then two shots through the iron sights at 25 yds - both went in the same hole - guess what the problem was. By the way, all scope mounts were verified tight.
When I sent it back, evidently Bushnell confirmed that the scope wouldn't hold zero and sent me an Elite 3200 3x9x40. This is definitely a superior piece of optics compared to the "Legend". Am looking forward to testing it, and I am confident the semi will not shake it loose.
I believe in reporting good as well as bad customer experiences and this happens to be a basically good one. However I could have bought an Elite with all the ammo and time I wasted testing and diagnosing the defective Bushnell Legend scopes in the first place
Note to self...no more cheap scopes!
