Not sure if anyone cares to hear of my stupidity, but I by accident left my Bushnell TRS-25 turned on for at least a couple of weeks. I have had that particular red dot for over a year and use it on occasion, so that battery wasn't new. I was using it last probably at least two weeks ago, if not closer to three weeks ago. I left it on setting "7". I realized that it was turned on today and looked through it to see a blank lens. I cranked it up to "11", and the dot was still slightly visible.

Not bad battery life I says to myself. I have a ton of spare batteries, so I popped a new one in - first battery change in any of my TRS-25's. I am even happier with that little sight than I was before. High value, low cost. It has so far served me well.

Thought someone may want to hear that little review. Take it for what it's worth.

best bang for the buck mini-red dot.

Considering what an aimpoint micro costs, this is waaaaaaaaaaaay better value overall.

I would wager 9/10 people if they did not know any better would not be able to tell the difference between the 2 during use. Of course, the elitists with deep pockets will be more than happy to tell me otherwise I'm sure.

It's crazy how the Aimpoint's can be left on for years....for the average non combat type user like me I'd rather have a red dot that was smart enough to power down after an hour or so and require a one button reset to reactivate.

I have gotten good at managing the off switch on my red dots and I keep spare batteries handy but with todays technology a power save option seems good unless they can get the thing to run for years like the Aimpoint.

i bought one for $79 dollars on sale from cabelas in tacoma...i would of bought 10, but they only had 1 in stock...great RDS

Good score and good thing you made it back across the border without incident!

I believe all firearms optics require export permits in these dark times.
