Bushnell warranty

Good luck they screwed me too. Sent in a micro red dot after finally getting ahold them over 3 month of trying to be the first 3 calls they accept per day at opening.

Sent in my optic by FedEx then they cut off all comms. I tried for a year not straight NO JOKE a year to reach these #######s and nothing. You can't email them as it only links you back to fill the warranty BS out that's it. You can't state issues or ask for a rep nothing. The useless call center only allow a few calls to go through the minute the phone line opens per day then it stays to many calls blahblah please try again later

I did that for a year straight and never got though. Never got my broken sight back or my replacement.

I even open a claim with BBB and they contacted me and told me they had to cancel my Claim because even they couldn't reach anyone over 2 months.

I'll NEVER EVER BUY. USE OR EVEN ACCEPT Bushnell Garbage again even if it's Free on a gun I buy I'll tell them to keep it. I couldn't even give it away in good faith.

Bushnell should be shut down. These people are criminals. Your best bet to order the same optic from the Bushnell store, swap them out and return the garbage back to them.

Well, here's my latest Bushnell story !
Had a couple of Trophy X-Treme scopes sittin in a drawer, two are non tracking, one has parallax fuzzy, so I decided to call them. This warranty claim started just before Valentines Day....Feb 9 or 10 thereabouts.

Spoke to a real nice girl..Tanaya. Chatted for a few minutes, and she mentioned that there are NO MORE 6-24X50 replacement scopes ! DANG... I also had 2 of the 4-16X44 XT's...one is my son's. All were covered under their lifetime warranty.
She said she would send me a label to ship them back, once I sent them, they would send me my replacements ! I queried why, when I know that others didn't have to do it ? She said sometimes they do it. I asked if they would be repaired, she said no ! Said to allow 3-4 weeks for delivery AFTER they got the old ones back.
Couple days later I get another EM telling me they can't originate a return label cuz I'm in Canada, so not to worry about returning them ! WOW !! My order would be processed soon.
Told her I needed 30 mm tubes, cuz that's how the rifles are all set up now and Multi X reticles for hunting !

We emailed back and forth...they were offering much cheaper version scopes with 1 inch tubes, told her NO WAY. I needed 30mm tubes ! So we settled on three...4500 X's scopes all in 4-16X44 with the multi X reticle.

From start to finish I sent and replied to no less than "28" E-mails..and 6 phone calls. I asked for a tracking number, she said she couldn't give me one till it went thru the system. Two weeks later, I asked for it again..then she said it was stuck at customs and could take months !!! Back and forth we went.
Yesterday, I had a Dr appointment @ 130...while waiting, she emailed me a Fed Ex tracking number...FINALLY I thought...I checked it out...it was JUST delivered (photo beside my front door) ha ha ha ha ha
Got home and opened my package...well sir...ANOTHER phone call's in store !!! The packing list said shipped 4/13/25 !!
They sent me three...ENGAGE...2.5 - 10 X 44 scopes...all with the deploy reticle !!!!! I am sooo pissed !
I called, got some guy named Aiden...he spent more time away from the phone than on it !! He said they admitted that somewhere between her order and the non-existant QC it got F'D up !!
These are NOT what was promised to me, they are LESS power by quite a bit, annnnd, they are NOT the right reticle for hunting rifles !
Manager said they never had the 4500 X's in stock so they sent the next best thing CLOSEST to what I had !!!!
Best they could do..end of story !!!! Was a Bushnell fan for a long time...till yesterday !

***I still have my Silver Elite 4200 sittin on my 300WSM Stainless Stalker...been there forever and still works flawlessly !
I seriously can't hate Bushnell enough lol. I'll ONLY buy Vortex or Sig optics now with a real warranty that is legit.

ok so I know vortex has a solid warranty........lets talk about Sig.....have you had to use it and where does it go when it needs to be warrantied?

It seems funny they use the excuse they cant send a replacement for warranty to canada due to problems with canada customs but yet they have no problems getting inventory into canada to stock dealers shelves just something to think about. You would think they could just contact the canadian importer of there product and have them send a replacement out

customersupport@bushnell.com I recently had an old millet lpvo scope replaced under warranty with one of the AR optics IR 1-8 series ones. Took about 2 months start to finish

EGG-ZACKLY what I said to them. Why not just send a couple from one of the retailers that HAVE the stock up here ?

OH...GAWWD NO...we could never do that, they are the property of the distributors/retailers !

Cool that someone has asked them this question. So one must ask why they wont admit that bushnell products sold in canada have no warranty seems these warranty issues only seem to affect canadian consumers. I know people in the states that have zero problems with bushnell warranty.

I have heard recently of defect units being replaced buy canadian dealers but how does this work for those dealer’s getting reimbursed for the unit maybe andealer can chime in in here

Bushnell warranty in Canada is handled by the dealer you purchased it from. Bushnell either sends them a replacement scope (something similar if it is a discontinued model or credits the dealers account.

NOPE !! Not everyone that sells Bushnell products is doing it ! I called Bass pro/Cabela's in Dartmouth NS, said they wouldn't do it !

They are a complete nightmare to get a hold of. Once you get a hold of them they low ball the value of your scope then offer you a replacement at the values posted on there web site. I will never buy another Bushnell product.
Also the process was started in January and still haven't shipped me a replacement and have stopped responding to my emails. They also refused to put me in contact with a Canadian based rep. If anyone knows of a Bushnell rep in Canada please pm me the info. If there is a Bushnell rep on this site please contact me if you wanna save a customer

I cant see myself buying any more bushnell either at least not till they figure out warranty issues first canada I pray my elite tactical does not go down its like. 2900.00 scope

The store you purchased it from should be handling everything. Bushnell USA doesn't handle the warranty in Canada, the stores do.

For roughly 55 years now I have owned Bushnells and used them on casual plinkers, range guns, rimfires, etc. I always tried to put Leupolds on "serious" hunting guns. Both brands offered excellent customer service. In fact, I generally thought that Bushnell's was somewhat superior, simply because I didn't need to mail anything but could just go to the warranty depot in North York and leave the problem there for a quick repair, or walk out with a new replacement.

Very sad to read that this is now a thing of the past. As I whittle down my collection of guns, my "good" scopes get moved onto "less serious" rifles, so don't have nearly as many Bushies now as once before.

Vortex? All I can say is that for a guy who has only actually purchased and paid for a couple of them...I have owned a crapload, thanks to warranty replacements. Leupold (and Bushnell, at least in the past) have always seemed to make a quality product, with a great warranty that was rarely needed. Vortex, at lower and mid-range levels at least, builds cheap crap with a high profit margin to pay for multiple replacements with more cheap crap. I keep hearing that expensive top-line Vortex products are better...but if I am going to spend high-end Leupold or Zeiss or Swaro money...I am definitely going to get one of those instead of a Vortex.

When a scope craps out on you out in the field, while hunting, perhaps far from home on an expensive trip...who gives a crap if they will give you another like it? I want the damn thing not to break in the first place!

How does that work if your local dealer is out of bussiness or no longer deals in bushnell optics
Technically any Bushnell dealer can warranty it for you. If its something we sold then we usually do an over the counter exchange if we have it in stock. If it isn't one of ours or it isn't in stock then we file a warranty claim with our rep and they ship us another scope or similar model if it is discontinued.
Well that's wrong.
Lots of companies handle warranties that way. We destroy the item, send them a picture if requested and they credit or replace the item. It is a lot simpler when there is a dedicated warranty centre for a company but this is how they now handle it since the warehouse moved to the US.
