Bushnell Won't Give Warranty Told them to Shove it up their *ss

Not everyone can walk into the building. When you mail it, it may sit in the corner for 3 months before they even open the box.

That's my problem. CP states Bushnell has had my scope now for 2 weeks. When I contacted Bushnell I was told it will take 6-8 weeks BEFORE they will even admit they've entered my scope in to the system and another 6-8 weeks until they fix/replace it.

Everyone knows that Leupold makes great scopes. Everyone knows Leupold has great after sales service. Lets stick with the higher end Bushnells (4200 and 6500 for example). For a similar quality scope with the same features you can almost equip 2 rifles with Bushnell for the price you will spend equiping one with Leupold. Its very hard for those of us without a money tree to ignore those facts.

False economy? I don't think so. You pays yer money and you takes yer choice.

I really don't follow your math.

Bushnell ~ Leupold
Legend ~ Rifleman
3200 ~ VX-I
4200 ~ VX-II
6500 ~ VX-III/3
(Approximately...)
Where can you buy 2 of the left column for the price of one of the right column?

The value proposition in favour of Leupold is, dollar for dollar, alot closer than that IMO.

I don`t like the economy math either. Dressing twice as many rifles doesn`t get you twice as much game, or more time off, or more ammo money. Buying twice as many rifles and scopes isn`t cheaper than buying fewer and better. Buying equipment that will get upgraded later costs more than doing it right the first time.

Disclaimer: I`m lousy at following my own advice.

The issue isn't the cost it is that the items were sold with a lifetime warranty that the company decided to not honour.

What reason did they give you? Did the company change ownership, do they consider the "lifetime" of a scope to be 5 years, did they say that particular model not have a lifetime warranty?

Honestly, I'm surprised that a company offered a lifetime warranty on a $100 scope.

That's all it says....

I see a trend.... Cheap crap doesn't last. I say f*ck Bushnell, and f*ck Leupold. Nightforce, US Optics, Schmidt and Bender, Zeiss, Trijicon, or Swarovski. I'm partial to Nightforce. :D

So now you are out a whole $119.00 FS

FS, this has nothing to do about the cost of the scope, 219 0r 319 or whatever, you can't understand that it's about principal!
If a company sells you a product with a lifetime warranty they should honour it........Period.
They offered me a new scope at the same price as LeBaron sells it for retail!
Give me a break.
Thanks but you can keep buying Bushnell I will stick to the other brands.

I dont want to d:h: but I had a small laser bore sigther from bushnell that was missing part in the package. I called their support and they basicly told be to shove it up my a.. and to buy from a different distributor in the futur. (the package was seal... go figure..) Will never buy any other product from busnell in the futur.

Man I don't get it? I just sent my 2nd, old Bushnell Scopechief in to get warrenty. First one ( about a year ago ) paid $40.00 online , they could not fix , so they sent me a brand new 3200 3X9X40. I just got off the phone yesterday, for the 2nd one, and they fixed it up ready to ship out, and no charge! He said it was on warrenty! I kinda like them!:D

Customer service is a two way street. There's a lot of jerk customers out there.

.

No Crap! I'm with you On this one! Leupold yep they are good, but I'v had them fail twice! two different scopes, and had them fixed no charge! You get what you pay! as a side note, The old scopechief scope are as good as you can get!
as side by side with Leupold, I think!

I have had to send 4 scopes back to Bushnell and each time they were either repaired(2) or replaced in less than 1 month, both times they were replaced it was with better equipment than what i sent for repair.
I have no complaints and would buy from Bushnell anytime:D

Bushnell isn't a life time warranty, very few scope manufacturers offer life time warranty with optics. That being said people on these forums have sent away 10 year old scopes and gotten them repaired.

If all depends on how old the scope is and if it's been discontinued do they even have the parts to fix it.

I sent away a bushnell that I bought from the EE here and had it fixed and back in my hands within 4 weeks if I remember correctly. (That includes shipping it to them and them shipping a brand new one back).

all i have ever used is bushnell scopes.have sent a couple back for repairs cost nothing except shipping.TDC not everyone can afford 1500-3000 dollar scopes.seems kind of stupid to put a 2000 dollar scope on a 400 dollar stevens.why pay that kind of money for a scope when one half that price or less will work and you have the extra money to buy more guns.
