I don't know what kind of twisted logic you have to be inclined to believe that any company which refuses to ship to Canada hates the countrymen there. Unless you have a statement by Mr. Potterfield that says, "I hate Canada, and everyone there," it was probably assessed as not being a worthwhile venture for the costs incurred.
The US State Department hates Canadians.
