By popular demand! The israeli range report. (Range day 2 now up)

What kind of stripper clips are to be used with 308 Israeli Mausers?

I have one ,tried 8x57(3 diffrent makes),308 Nato,30/06 clips and nothing seems to work.

Stripper clip guides look like they have been worked on,but rifle itself is VZ24 Brno post war made with 1956 Israeli made barrel in 308 Win.

I should make and post some pictures...

Spacer Block.
Here are the spacer block pics. It is 5mm thick and runs full width of mag well and down to the floor plate. Rounded at the top with edge taken off on follower side. Soldered in place. Follower is standard 98k part.
I included some detail pics of the forend as a guide in case you decide to restore it down the road.

Stripper clips.
I have some Israeli made stripper clips and they are the exact same as German 98k ones. Both will work, try them again;)
M14/Nato clips will not fit.

Parkerizing. Most surplus Izzy's (German, Czech) were Parked. The ones that FN contract built for the IDF (They have the IDF crest on receiver ring) were blued.

I have seen alot of Czech ones that were parked when rebuilt by Israel so it would be fine.
There are still blued ones around besides the FN made rifles as well.

Deltasilver: The black paint is interesting, never seen one like that.

Still sourcing parts, this one is a keeper. Soon I'll be back with handloads.

Well that was fast, now all you need is some old drill bits (forget what sizes) to make the crossbolt out of for the front band and one for the bayo lug.
The hardest part to find is that short band spring and luckily it came with your rifle. Let us know how you make out.

Thanks, don't have them yet! I borrowed that pic from the seller, only thing I need now is an upper handgaurd, had to cut mine to make it fit right with the wrong parts!

Wish I hadn't done that!

Well looked at the parkerized finish, will be as much or more than I payed for the whole rifle to go with that finish.

So it will stay in the white/brown/blue finish it has!

Just need a top handgaurd and rear sight screw if anyone has one let me know!!!!
