By popular demand! The israeli range report. (Range day 2 now up)

I have seen alot of Czech ones that were parked when rebuilt by Israel so it would be fine.
There are still blued ones around besides the FN made rifles as well.

Deltasilver: The black paint is interesting, never seen one like that.

dou 43. Pic is from last winter. On the barrel/receiver the paint is on the exposed surfaces only, all the small parts are painted black inside & out.

Other rifle (not shown) is a dou 44, all surfaces painted with the same black paint. Enough has worn away under the receiver to see the original park.

Looks alot like the stuff the brits used on their stuff. Suncorite?

parkerizing is cheap ,most places that rebuild engines do this process.there should be lots of machine shops in the Edmonton area that do it for the oil industry.

You'll want to disassemble, clean and basket your own stuff tho - Small parts lost in a phosphate bath are not going to be seen again until the next time they drain the bath. Which can be a long time if all they're parking is new manufactured tool parts. The going rate in Lloydminster is a case of beer for a basket of pistol parts.

If you're feeling REALLY cheeky, see if you can find somebody who is doing a run of Corrolon or Teflon like we use for sour service tools :D
