Picked it up tonight. 24" bbl. DOM is Dec 1973.

Nice old rifle.

Nice, post a few Target pics... I love the old .222, I have one in a Ruger M77 Mark II Stainless Carpenter's Technology special run... it's a good shooter.

I'm a bit away from target pics. Need dies and brass as well as some IMR4198.

I use Lee collets and Forster BR seaters for my rifles.

What is a Stainless Carpenter's Technology special run?

My Browning’s and an M70 375 H&H current production which I just traded for a 300 H&H Browning early 60’s in really nice shape. Can’t wait to get it and shoot it. From left to right:

Carpenter's Tech provide barrel steel to Ruger for many years. Ruger did a special run of 2440 Stainless/Walnut Mark II rifles in .222 Rem for Carpenter employees.... I have had four of them over the years, only one left now.

I have been looking for a 300 H&H for years but everybody has wanted top US prices here so I've had to pass. Finally got a fair deal on one and just can't wait to shoot it and load for it.

Brass is a pain on those 300s. I have two of them. Have resized 375 to 30cal. Worked fine.

Sounds cool .... You should start a thread on some of those Rugers.
