C7A1 lookalike rifle

High Standard Model TX-6550 is pretty close and affordable. Stag Arms have pinned on compensators as I recall.

The pic on the site shows a Comp, not pinned, but regardless, the 4R currently on offer comes with a standard A2 flash hider as per the description.

Call Arms East and tell them you want a C7A1 clone, they will set you up. The government profile barrel makes all the difference in how they feel.

When I bought my first AR, this is exactly what I did and Walter at AE was (is!) awesome and could not recommend him more wholeheartedly.

BUT, if ajagcapt (like me at the time) wants a C7 clone for the sake of getting more trigger/famil time on the C7(which is really important IMHO, regardless of trade, so I can't encourage you enough) I would by-pass the 20" and go for a railed front end 16". While train as you fight is great, what ends up really being important is time/rounds on trigger. A 16" will be more versatile and fun to shoot.

The stable at home now consists of only 2 ARs: one 14.5" and my go to 16". The 16" has been used with great results on courses, CQB matches (<35m) BCRA matches (up to 500m).

Now your user name is a bit of a clue and I would guess you are in Ottawa. There should be some other service members who should be happy to help you out, because the important part is going to be to get out there and get some practice/coaching. Check out the service rifle, courses/event forums for some great opportunities.

I WILL pull money out of savings in order to buy a commemorative C7 is they are produced! I hope to God that Colt Canada can pull this off!!!

I wonder if they'll let me buy it on a Canex plan... Laugh2
