Cabela's can go pound sand

B2 bigfoots are a cabelas exclusive. It says it on the box. That's likely why they didn't match your price.

if they are exclusive to Cabela's why did I find another shop that handles them?? in Regina, and one in portage La prairie MB
I just believe I picked a day that the REGINA store had all the morons it could muster up and hire ,on duty that particular day

I was at Cabela's today and seen a guy giving #### to the customer service girl. He bought a box of Remington Cor-Lokt and shot the entire box. 2 rounds did not fire and he was mad. He brought them back and was demanding Cabela's give him 4-6 boxes due to his time coming to the store. They actually gave him 1 new box even though he shot the other 18. He was still angry and demanded 4 more boxes. Maybe it's not the store that has bad customer service, maybe it's the bad customers with ridiculous expectations and then when they don't get their way they stomp their feet and ##### to everyone.

stuff like that isn't up to Cabela's to replace
its the ammo distributor that should be dealt with
Cabela's does say no refunds on ammo or reloading components , that was good on Cabela's for giving him one box
but 4 or 5 pfft
I'll stick up for Cabela's on that one

What part of final sale, no returns did this Neanderthal not understand? Once in a while, some "customers" need to be shown the door. No one should have to put up with people like that. Too bad the manager didn't have the balls to tell this guy to leave and not come back until he develops some manners.

Apply for a job at Cabela's (part time or full time) and show them how its suppose to be done. What? You don't want to work for near minimum wage, no benefits and put up with arrogant, condescending customers on a daily basis?

Neither would I.

I live 5 hours away from the nearest Cabela's store
now you tell me Mr. smart ass
would you apply for a job at Cabela's if you lived 5 hours away
would you commute that far every day?
would you sell yer home and move just to work for Cabela's
get real man
I don't expect the world from them
but if they advertise something
then I expect at least what they advertise to be true
and hold them to it
the way I see it to many big businesses and politicians make promises and never hold up to their word
or adverstisements
its time we as customers and voters and tax payers hold them to their word

I wonder what the cost of all these products would be if stores o ly hired professionals to handle the merchandise and discuss products. I prefer to do my own research , know what product I am looking for and go pick it up at the best price.

I think some of you guys that complain about the knowledge and service of the employees should be the change they want to see and get a job at cabellas for $13.00 an hour so they can have knowledable and friendly staff.

What's that? Your knowledge and time are worth more than $350 to $400 take home a work week? Oh... guess we will have to stick with whoever is willing to accept those wages.

ha ha ha ha $13.00 is a pay raise for me from the $11.00 per hour I was making at the Barrie Cabelas Gun Counter! ha ha ha ha

And I do miss being asked, "What do you know about long range shooting? You make minimum wage here... What do you mean, 'Your sniper matches in Base Borden?" ha ha ha ha

All good times, man!

I miss yelling, "Hot Nuts!!" while working there! ha ha ha ha

Cheers all!

11 bux an hour at cabelas? wow that sux
When I left the sporting goods retail counter in a long standing mom n pop owned sporting goods shop I was making 16.75 plus a minimum grand a month in related side work, Plus full benefits thru standard life.
I remember applying for a management position in the sportsfishing department at wholesale sports back when it first opened ..... when i saw the employee package I turned around and put that idea farrrr behind me. Heck even steveston marine hired me as a manager with a way better employee package than wholesale offered.
I imagine Cabela's is no different and they really don't give a damn if thier employees are truly experienced in all facets of thier department as long as they have basic customer service skills. I dunno about you guys but i don't leave the driveway for less than 20 bucks an hour LOL

I have no idea where you live nor do I care. You have a problem with a business, start with the manager on duty and take it from there if you feel you must until you are "satisfied" with the results. Whining on social media and calling people you never met "morons" doesn't cut any slack with me.

Have a nice day sunshine.

Eh. It's Ontario's minimum wage. I believe it's being pushed to 15$ by next year sometime though.

I'll give the nod to Cabela's ove Bass Pro... SAIL is another big box store in Ontario and if you want to look at guns, scopes, ammo etc it's a good place to bring the mrs because they have great fashionable items there that are geared towards the female market.

And I shop all the outdoor shops that are in a town that I pass through when on a road trip... Everyone ought to visit Elwood Epps if one happens to be in south central Ontario... Then there are so many shops I thought about naming them but you guys probably know of these shops yourselves... And one can't forget CT or Walmart or TSC. Lots of places to visit and lots of places to spend. But it is kind of a nice experience when you walk in and the staff know your name...haha...

Went to pick up a Smith 617 today @ Cabela's Barrie. Noticed the pistol was on clearance for $699. I paid $809 plus taxes.

Gun counter gave me $125 back. Really can't complain at all about the transaction. Transfer was started on October 27.

Yup, 30 day price protection on all purchases.

Nope. Winnipeg staff seem to have a good attitude and be helpful.
Can you cite an example of price jumping?

We preferred the old SIR Mail Order store.
They always had what we needed and stuff other stores didn’t have.
Their little square catalog was our ‘go to’ for years.
We got sick of ‘on backorder’ since Cabelas bought earl robinson out and went elsewhere.
We thought we’d be drowned in tons of new merchandise.
No such luck.
Big disappointment.

I miss SIR, too. All that gear for hunting, trapping, fishing, camping evoked a siren call throughout my childhood the answering of which has been a source of great satisfaction and fulfillment in my adult life.
