Cabin fever - I am painting my Swiss Arms (Updated DEC 22, final product post 70)

I have heard of this "cabin fever", in my experience, it occurs only when the weather teams up with your inner pussy:p:p:p, and suddenly, "it's too cold" or "it's too wet". It happens to all of us.
I find the best way to deal with the "fever" so to speak is to go out and face it. Cold, Wet, Hot, deal with it. It makes you harder!
.

Haha, Ditto;)

That's a really nice setup you have their (always a pleasure to drool over some swiss arms ###iness), and I really like the way the paintjob turned out! Any chance of getting an outdoors picture of it, I think it would look even better with natural lighting on it.
I love how well the patterns transferred from the elements you used stencils, especially the branch right above the mag well. Good selection of colours too.

However what i'm really saddened about is the shear amount of haters in this thread! Definitely unwarranted, but i'm willing to attribute all of it to either people who fetishise black, and those who are simply jealous you have one of the sweetest rifles out there and can do whatever the hell you please with it.

LOL!!!! That's hilarious! And so true.

The rifle turned out pretty nice, Smak. Well done for a rattle can camo job!

You could paint a Swiss Arms any color... & it will still look good!
However my Classic Green will never change.

I'm on "Team Admiration" for this one. Although I'm not a fan of that hunter-y type of camo look, I absolutely love that you didn't put that thing on a pedestal like some here would advise!

The pictures do not do it justice. Not even remotely close. ( FYI - the shine on the gun is CLP, not glare from paint)

I've been to the range four times with it and people absolutely love it. At first they can't figure out what it is. lol.

Nothing but positive feedback when people see it in person.

The great thing about it is the tritium iron sights are visible through the ACOG mount. So instead of attaching a 45 degree angle Aimpoint micro for close quarters, I simply lower my line of sight a few inches and I have tritium iron sights.

Nice paint job, really. But, I'm confused:confused:, I thought you said we saw the "final product" in the second thread you made about painting it. That was back on the 14th. Now there is an update on this thread saying "Update Dec.22nd FINAL PRODUCT"

How many times will it be "Finished";) anyway

;)We all know what your really after is a "BTT" so that everyone can feed you some more admiration on what a wonderful paint job you did:p C'mon, admit it:p:p:p:stirthepot2::stirthepot2::stirthepot2:

After all it is a very nice paint job! It's worth looking at one more time isn't it??

This thread should of been titled 'how to turn a 4500 dollar rifle into a 2500 dollar rifle using 7 dollars of spray paint'

an assumption is being made that it is or will be sold, thus attaching a monetary value to it. If neither is happening then there isn't necessarily a dollar figure you can assign to it, as it could be a $9999 rifle to the owner

I think it looks great. How about some details on the firearm? Rail, new lower, optic. Looks far different now than when I saw it at that three gun match we shot together.

The rifle looks great, nice work. Nice dog too. However you did break a major rule here on CGN; there are no feet in the picture :D
