Cadex Chassis Systems: Post your pics, questions and answers here!

Patrice, I could be talked into a Field Strike, but I have a question first, will it work with a Pierce Custom Action? It has the same foot print as the Rem 700, but the rear receiver bridge appears to be the same profile as the front so it is not identical to the Rem 700 profile up top. It currently rides in the AI AX chassis, but I am not sold on it yet for me. Have had a man crush on the CADEX for some time now since they first came out several years ago. Thanks.

Seem to be no response or respect for a superior rifle. Just responding to their Rem orders. Reason why I will buy American. Yanks respond to interest.

Actually, I e-mailed them a while ago, and they haven’t got the bottom bolt release issue sorted out with their chassis systems. I’m not sure if it’s in the works or not, but they did reply me right away to advise that they hadn’t developed anything yet.

I still think it’s a great system, and I’ll get one for my 700 one day. For now, I’ll wait for my XLR Carbon to arrive for my 10TR.

Not going to lie, I’m pretty jealous.

It was perfect timing, I'm just finishing up a 223 Ackley build and have been trying to decide on a chassis. The Dual Strike and KRG W3 were at the top of my list, the biggest thing I didn't like the about the Dual was the hight over bore, now that this is better with the Strike Lite i figured I would give it a try, plus I like the idea of supporting Canadian companies when applicable.

I have a bolt top release savage 12. Is this a Savage action that is currently supported in the field strike? Or is this just vapour ware like the AICS? Is this something that can be ordered today and arrive by Feb 25th?

Nice, please post some pics when you get it!

Wow man, that answers my questions in spades! Thank you very much, and I will definately be saving for an urban strike. You guys rock and I can't wait until later in the year when I own one of your guys chassis systems for my very own :D

There's a way to make it happened. But we decided not to advertise it cause it could confuse everybody on the chain of production. Just for fun I'll release the picture to show you how modular is our chassis. but this is not a production model, be advised

We like to call it the Strike Hybrid. This is the receiver of the Strike Lite combined with the front tube of the Field series and fitted with the AR stock adaptor. With this chassis, a customer could decide to upgrade either the stock or the tube in the future, some kind of a two step purchase. He could even decide to install the Strike Lite complete top rail if he wants.

For sure it sound cheaper at first, but you need to realize that on the long run it's more expensive since you have parts that are not used no more + the fact that spare parts are more expensive than buying a complete package. That's why we got rid of that option unless there's a real demand.

Maybe it's not clear. When you buy the Lite Core model that comes with the AR adaptor, your stock becomes a fixed stock and can't fold no more.

Apologies, I thought he was referring to the hybrid model.

Mr. Picard, this chassis looks very interesting. I have a Savage 110FCP that is begging for a chassis. How does your chassis deal with the barrel nut? Does it still use it or do you have a different mounting system? My second barrel still uses the barrel nut, but my new Krieger on the way is contoured to go on with a lug. Will the Field Strike chassis accommodate the full 1.350 diameter at the breach for a barrel? It runs 1.350 for 5" or something. Thanks, it is great to see a vendor providing this much information on the forum!! Maybe a picture of the barrel mounting configuration would help.

I just finished watching a vid on how the chassis is assembled and there appears to be a generous amount of space in front of the recoil lug. I would also suspect that if Cadex is making a chassis specifically for the Savage that they have taken into account the bbl nut as the vast majority of users are not going to want to replace an integral part of their rifle.

Well I didn't receive a single quote from dealers, so I thing I might just order it direct from Cadex.

Patrice thank you for you help, before I order, what rail do I need to order for the 6 o'clock position.

Are there any coupon codes available for your store? How do I specify the rail MOA?

The only way we could see if it could fit or not is buy filling up a complete specs sheet. But for that you would have to have in hand the action and a micrometer. PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you the sheet to fill up.

A lot of action manufacturers claims that their Remington clone actions are a Rem 700 footprint, but they are not compatible at the top. So that makes it complicated for models like us that incorporates a top rail.

Thanks for the information, I will send you a PM with my email addy to get that sheet. I am suspecting that I will just do a new build with a Rem700 receiver. Thanks.

Hi Patrice

Can you order the models with the longer Dual striker forend? the 5 vent vs. the 3 vent?
I am sure I already know this answer but does it come in Left hand?

I am looking at the field core with the longer forend and in left hand. Pretty please :D:D

We just met with Cadex at the 2014 Shot Show and placed our opening order. We can't give ETA at this point because nothing is in stock yet. Pricing will be competitive and we will post when our stocks arrive. Phil.

Hi

We don't have any model with 3 vents.

It's either 4 vents for the Lite, Field & Urban models (9" long at the bottom)
or
5 vents for the DUAL (11" long at the bottom).

You can't specify, what you see is what you get when you look at the pictures.

Also, we do not offer left hand chassis for the moment. Sorry.

Thank you appreciate the quick response time.

as for the vents if you look at the bottom or top of the forend from the pic it shows a 3 or 5 vents only the holes on the side are 4 vents.
