Cadex Chassis Systems: Post your pics, questions and answers here!

The chassis does work with custom actions with the full diameter rear bridge, i built mine with a Borden tube gun action, that comes without any mount holes so it was just a matter of drilling and tapping a Rem. 700 hole patern on the action. As far as the rail that comes with the chassis, I machnined off the rear section so it would match the bigger receiver and that was all there was to it. The only other machining I had to do was remove a bit of metal to fit the oversized Tubbs recoil lug.

For those custom actions that have a different hole pattern than a Rem. 700, that could be an issue because there's not much room on the top rail to relocate the holes. If I had to deal with this issue, I'd probably try to get them to make me a top rail with no mounting holes and then drill it to fit the action I am using.

Something showed up in the mail last night...late, because CP lost it for a few days, but at least it showed up. I'll post some actual pictures of it when I get a chance to take some decent pictures, but for now, I'll just leave this pic:

This isn't a picture of mine, but what I got last night includes it :)

Very nice .... Dual Stike I pressume?

Yup .... actual pictures would be nice.

They look great, but not in my budget :(. Going with the XLR, and I don't think I am compromising.

Not compromising at all, I'm getting one of those too, haha! Ordered one for my 10TR because the XLR had the bottom bolt release sorted out. For the record, neither of these are in my budget. If the wife ever found out I bought the Cadex as well as the XLR, I'd be a dead man. She just knows about the XLR, haha!

Ha ha, yeah a cadex isn't really in my budget but it is the first chassis system I have wanted bad enough to be willing to part with things in order to afford it. Question for Patrice, the core chassis what type of buffer tube do I need to pick up for it?

I've got the 6500 on there for now, but there's a Leupold on the way so maybe more pictures next week, haha!

Anyway, I've been dreaming about this chassis for a few months now, and I estimated that I probably wouldn't be able to grab one for at least another year or so, but where there's a will, there's a way, and where there's overdraft, there's a Cadex Strike Dual at the end of the tunnel, haha! The wife would have my balls if she found out how I got this system, that's why she must never know I have it.

Anyways, I've only had it a day, so haven't had a chance to take her to the range, but just mucking around with it at home, it is pretty much everything I expected, and more.

The thing feels beefy, sturdy, built for purpose. It does NOT feel fragile. It's got some weight to it, so you may not want to hump it around for hunting, unless you want to throw it in a pack or something. The controls, adjustments, latches and switches all snap, close, and lock like a BMW or Benz. The finish seems pretty sturdy, there wasn't a scratch on the chassis despite the previous owner hunting with it a few times.

That butt stock is amazing, all that adjustment without any tools. It fit anyone who wanted to play with it, and I was able to return the settings to my personal liking in seconds, all without tools. It's really easy to get comfortable with this chassis and I'm glad I got it.

Wow! That is a really great looking rig! Thanks for sharing, get us a report on how it shoots ASAP!

I don't have a day off for a few weeks, but don't hold your breath for decent results, I'm, a crap shot, haha! I'll do my best though, and thanks for the comments. I love this thing.

Just ordered my XLR today. 5 weeks. Make sure you post some pics of it on your Savage, or I will tell your wife.... :)

Haha, I'll post some pics for sure. It should be here in a week or two hopefully. I still can't believe I ended up with a Cadex first through, haha! I really didn't think I'd be able to make it happen for while.
