Call me a hypocrite...I bought a Glock

Owned a glock for several weeks, Didn't like it at all, traded it off for a Ruger.
Don't care for pistols that don't have a safety as I prefer to carry with one up the spout.

But if you have to buy one be sure you get the gang banger mod with the sights on the SIDE of the slide so you can shoot it like in the movies.

Is there still an eye roll smiley?

Nice looking rig (for a glock) I didn't even know about 45gap...Learn stuff every time I go shooting...Thanks for letting me try the big FN too dude!

That's exactly why I have a Glock ... it has 3 safetys

No problem Dugy!:)

Can't say I was overly impressed with the Glock. Gonna have to shoot it more. The 45GAP is a snappy little (big) cartridge! Damn thing shoots low for me...stupid grip angle...:p

Pretty happy with my upland game subgun though. ;)

^ ready for interesting trades yet?

Well...you DO have that crappy Black Special...and I could probably throw in a couple of SKSs cuz you know they are ten times the rifle that your Swissarms is!:p ;)

The G37 sights shooting low... I think the factory throws the regular G17/G22 sights on (which I don't understand) - I put the G20/G21 sights on and had a much better time shooting.

You could buy the plastic ones and test it out (I think they are like $5 US) :)

Is that why they would fire when a loaded one was placed in the original factory box?
Two of those supposed safeties will only do their job if it is dropped, something you don't want to do normaly. The "safety" in the trigger has caused more than one cop to shoot himself in the leg while re-holstering his Glock.

You can bash me all you wish, I just don't like the design.

If you are going to do something as boneheaded as holstering with your finger on the trigger, why would it be any more boneheaded to holster a 1911 with the safety off? And don't forget, while holstering, the grip safety is disengaged.

Any gun with a DA first shot is just as likely to fire if you holster with your finger on the trigger.

Other than the 1911, what do you prefer? A Beretta? Decocker, aka no external safety for most models. Ruger? Decocker. If it has a safety, it is so placed as to be virtually useless (up for off!?!). Sig, decocker. HK? Decocker AND safety. Don't forget at least one of those!

The Glock has the same fundamental control operation as everything out there except the 1911 and Browning, except you can't forget to decock.

To dislike the design implies having a basis and/or background to have formed a considered opinion. Despite what your grade 4 teacher said, you'r opinion can be wrong.

More people ND with glocks because there are more glocks.

The AD's occured when the glock was holstered because the retaining strap on the holster was in the way, NOT because the cop had his finger on the trigger. Something that can happen when you are trying to secure the perp and want holster your gun and get out the cuffs quickly.

What do I own? The Ruger P345. Indestructable, works every time. I really don't care for the glock, but if you want one, I certainly am not going to argue about your choice.

Same reason I don't own another M1911. I am not a professional who can carry cocked and locked safely, but I want to get off the first round quickly if need be. The M1911 doesn't have a DA capability.

How hard is it to lower the manual safety? You can do while your are raising the gun. With a little bit of practice, you could get the first round off quicker (and with more accuracy) with a 1911 than you would with a DA gun.

Ah, the fobus tac-light holster recall.

Again, this would happen with any DA first shot handgun, including your Ruger 345 (a fine gun, btw!).

That this showed up with Glocks was just the law of averages. There are far more Glocks in law enforcement hands than any other gun... all other guns.

Cheers, friend.
