I thought it was already known as "The Peashooter"?

Perhaps you should ACTUALLY own one and go out and harvest some animals with one, as I have, before you apply derogatory labels such as this. Only to be applauded by the likes of Gatehouse!!! May I suggest you are not in very good company, but you two go ahead and have your say, those of us who have used this cartridge, know what the facts are.
You are a pair of buffoons, espousing opinions upon that which you know not!!

Next you are going to tell us that you have some "inside information from the firearms industry" that tell us that the 9.3x62 is outselling the 30-06. But when asked to back it up you will tell us you don't know how to post a link. Laugh2

:jerkit:

Or a fish slapping duel, a la Monty Python.

Yeah, that would be hysterically entertaining, but the manly way to settle a dispute is last man standing wins....might be wise to substitute the gun play for a few kegs of beer though!!!

Too bad this fine thread is taking a turn for the worse.

Sure seems that way. Can't imagine why some here were so desperate to bring me up repeatedly in this thread, but for some reason they felt the reason to. :)

Now I'm somewhat interested in what getting custom brass would cost. I don't want any, but it's interesting. My guess is that it would make more sense to just come up with some cool ammo boxes and fill them with 9.3x62 brass ammunition.

I would like to say right here, before this takes off in the wrong direction; This thread is about the 9.3X62 and one of it's greatest proponents, Ted is to the 9.3X62 what O'Connor was to the 270. This is NOT about the 375 Ruger, which every thread Gatehouse contributes to, becomes.
Gatehouse, if you don't own a 9.3X62 and are not interested in acquiring some of this specially marked brass, honoring Ted's contribution to the overall popularity of the 9.3X62 in Canada, then may I respectfully suggest you move along, as this thread holds nothing for your narrow interest perspective.

Well I have to say this; even though I get up every morning, bow 3 times then pray to the 2'x4', personally autographed photo of Ted riding a monster bull moose, down a raging white water river, to recover his canoe, burn incense and chant his name, ... 'whew'... I bought my 9.3x62 due to an interest picqued by Terry Wieland.

I'm serious...

Yes, you may be right. I looked at Horneber as well, but they "produce standard cases due to CIP and SAAMI in lots from 5,000 to 50,000 cases." I doubt we will need 5000 pieces of brass!

With less than 40 ppl on this thread even voting for a rename, I think 5000 cases would be waaay too many unless someone with more money than brains just HAD to have them.

On the other hand, I'm sure someone could easily come up with a label for ammo boxes that could be emailed to all interested parties and they could print it out on a sticker or something.
