a normal gun permit that allows you to shoot auto
I want to to shoot auto since "it is illegal to shoot auto in Canada (don't have prohibited license).
No, you can keep an automatic firearm locked up in your house but the CFO will not grant you an SAP (Special Authority to Possess) for the purpose of shooting.http://www.firearmstraining.ca/classes.htm
It says with a prohibited license you can own an auto, if you can own it I think you can shoot it right?
You don't need a permit to shoot auto in Canada or the USA. It is not illegal to shoot full auto in Canada.a normal gun permit that allows you to shoot auto

They just won't let you talk the guns out to do it.You don't need a permit to shoot auto in Canada or the USA. It is not illegal to shoot full auto in Canada.
We are talking about the US. You need to be a resident in a Class 3 state to own full auto's.
Yes, but I figured the extra detail was moot. This is what I understood to be the case as well. Also, I thought fingerprinting and more intensive background checks were involved too.
You need to learn a lot more about guns. Also, the term "auto" means many things. If you mean full-automatic, use the term full-auto. Yes, as stated above, Americans have far more rights to own full autos than we do. Did you not read the posts above regarding class-3 states?Anyone know the location for the Las Vagas range?
One more question out of curiosity so US citizen are not allow to own auto like us.
I thought they are allow to ahve ak-47, but isn't ak-47 full auto?
Full auto specifically means that it fires repeatedly with one pull of the trigger. Auto can mean full auto, auto-loading (45 automatic pistol, auto-5 shotgun, etc), or even auto eject like some old 22 single shot rifles. It is very non-specific.What's the difference between full-auto and auto?
