Can a Canadian own a gun permit in USA

Na just a permit that allows me to shoot full-auto

:D
Go down to the USA & visit some of the places that rent FAs for use on the range.

It's an experience you won't forget.

I last shot a FA at my shooting club in New Hampshire courtesy of one of the participants at a machine gun shoot which they hold from time to time.

There's no patronage appointed, tax payer paid, bureaucrat/anti-gun activist commonly known as a CFO to hassle shooters in NH & they can take their FAs to the range any time........NO PERMIT or AUTHORIZATION NEEDED.

There's two things that you'll enjoy experiencing........shooting a FA & real democracy (in contrast to the Canadian socialist dictatorship).

Stick to BB guns...you have absolutely no business owning a real firearm.

You have not shown that you are even close to being ready for that sort of responsibility.

Stick to the FPS games and enjoy those. Firearms are for adults and/or responsible people and you, my boy, are neither of those.

Is aliceminer a girl or a guy ? By the way, instead of complaining about his/her inappropriate questions, it is much easier just to ignore them. But since we are on this topic, I actually have a question. Sorry if i am hijacking this thread. I had a conversation with Chopper1 at the range and he told me that as a Canadian citizen, even if I have a green card I do not have a full right to own a firearm in US. What he said was that a store can actually sell it to me in accordance with a state law, but the feds can arrest me for a possession of a firearm, because it contravenes a federal law. I was never aware of that. Does anybody have any input regarding this subject?

Non-immigrant aliens are prohibited from possessing firearms in the US, unless they fall into an exemption (hunting license, among others). If you are otherwise qualified to buy a gun, and are exempt from the NIA prohibition, you are good to go. Keep in mind that some states have additional laws/requirments regarding NIA's and firearms.
Also, gun stores are federally licensed (FFL's) in the US. They will comply with federal and state law.

You guys continue to encourage him...why...why I ask?

This kid has absolutely no business owning or even thinking about owning/possessing a firearm.

Just stop encouraging him.

He won't be able to move to the states unless:

1) he is a very skilled worker (aka advanced education, technical skills, certifications, training)
2) He has a lot of money and can be an investor class immigrant

I suggest you get into Airsoft kiddo.

haha, considering moving to another country just to shoot full auto??? what is wrong with people....join the army have a go and see its not as fun as it pertains to be....you cant even get a job in the states, let alone jump thru all the hoops, buy a 15K pre-ban m16, feed it ammo find a place to shoot it.

you wont be able to get a permit to buy a automatic weapon in canada and you wont be able to get the transport permit to go to the rangeif you had it before 1978 the only way to shoot full auto = get in the army or find some new friend with motorcycles and tattoos lol

Ahem...I resemble that remark.

As far as the rest of this thread is concerned I have to say I'm with Blurr. I don't understand the motivation behind some of the threads that have been started by this user and it raises LOTS of red flags for me.

And no A Lice Miner, I won't be your friend and buy you a full auto anything.

I posted in the other .357 magnum thread, I think it's the same "aliceminer" who wrote this blog titled "Inside the Heart of a Killer" - http://aliceminer.########.com/, and wrote on another forum (hongfire.com) delightful lines such as "Don't worry. You don't need to distinguish the difference between combatants and civilians for they are all guilty anyways. SHOOT SHOOT There is no need for aiming. Shoot and Kill anything that walk and crawl in the battlefield," and "devil is here to save us; god is here to drown us with stupid lies." They also say they want to take over Russia, be like Stalin, and have been compared to Hitler. Add that to posts here about "legal" sniper rifles, silencers, guns with "stopping power" and armor piercing bullets, and it's a bit worrisome. Ticking bomb? Immature kid? Just don't want to see CGN on the news when there's a college shooting.

Same name, same location, same discussion about gun licenses around the same time.
