I already have a BL22 lever gun for them to practice with. They both enjoy the lever gun, which is good because lever guns comprise of more then 50% of my firearms.
Brobee, thank you for the thorough response. I like where your heads at. The kids would love the dealing tree. Only problem with the rifles i have is they just don't fit well.
My favourite fun .22 is the GSG 16 (22 round mag)
Ok
A CZ 452 Scout might be another classier option......?
I want to get a fun gun for the kids. Both my kids, 7 and 10, shoot my Browning BL22 and Cooey single shot but I would like to get them something more fun. An adjustable stock would be a bonus as they have very different arm lengths. Most importantly I want something reliable out of the box. Budget will be $500ish
This was my favourite starting out. Loud as all heck unless you used shorts.....

Had a rossi pump too.
Was fun when we got a 410 as well
I have a 795. Kids love shooting it. Get a aftermarket stock, I’m sure it would all come in under 500.
That looks like it would be pretty awkward for a small kid to hold. The sights don't look very useful either. Probably a fun thing for an adult to mess around with but I'm not so sure it would be a big hit with the kids due to the overall awkwardness of holding a revolving rifle
how about a single shot .22 where they can hone in of their gun safety skills as well before they move onto a semi-auto rimfire
