Can we set the record straight for Swiss Arms? CSC & TSE True of False?

I think the whole thing can be traced back to Carol in HR. Strange thing is... THERE IS NO CAROL IN HR!

The only way this thread will be allowed to stay open by the CGN admin is for it to remain about the Classic Green rifle. There can be no discussion about another business. If you wish to discuss the rifle please do but let’s try to keep the thread open.

Pretty damning evidence. I was really looking to buy a membership at TSE due to their 50yrd bays.

I’m not sure I could live with myself now if I did.

Back to the topic. . . Writing our local MPs may feel like a waste of time, but holding politician’s feet to the fire is the only way (short of bribery lol) that has any real effect on their voting. Please, PLEASE write/phone/email your reps.

As much as the 858s/ SA prohibition sucks, I’m much more concerned with the new RCMP powers, and the proposed ‘soft’ gun registry.

Gotta say I'm speachless after reading all that and reading what's in another forum I'm blown away how after all the talk about this debacle some people still can't produce any proof that they ain't the cause of this ...this little post by the op is the most proof seen so far and it's damn incriminating....sad days

first post.. no EE... i smell a troll

Right, a very well thought out, laid out and presented set of questions; pretty sure it's not their first post at CGN. Never discount anyone's knowledge or integrity based on their post or EE count and to do so is classic straw man tactics. if you don't know anything about the topic or can't add to the discussion then better to not say anything it usually just makes you look like a tool.

We all know everything we need to know about the underhanded tactics used by businesses in question and should shop elsewhere. That domain name game is the last straw for that company.

You absolutely said it here, that's what made it hard to accept, dude comes in, makes one post, drops mic. And I did bring up the question of a shill. It really was a well put together post, much better than 95% of the drivel on this board. We don't always get smarter the longer we are exposed to CGN but we can certain prove how dumb we are the longer we are exposed to CGN. All in all, the point has been proven, word of mouth is the best advertiser and in this case, 2 retailers go in, one comes out on top. The losers grave is dug.

To all,

I admitted and apologized for my part in the initial reclassification years ago, which included calling the RCMP. I still have my personal opinions on the rifle in question and if I feel that an illegal firearm comes into my shop today, I will still call the police.

That is old news and I think I have paid a heavy price for that already. What the OP posted is something I have already answered for.

As to the URL's: This I thought was a dead issue. Years ago (probably about 8 or 9 now) when my old partners and I were in the heat of a bitter divorce, I bought the domain names. They also parked a banner van at the same time with their business advertising at my entrance.... neither of us were acting very classy at the time. Not something I am particularly proud of. What I did a long time ago was have the domains redirected from pointing at me to point at the Calgary Firearms Centre (both an awesome organization and a very similar name in Calgary). When I checked last night, it was effective for the .ca extension but not the .com. That has since been fixed.

I would also remind people that the sans-overview on the CSC page is just that; the CSC page. Nuf said on that.

I also had NOTHING to do with the CZ-858 issues, the changes to the antique firearms policies, the M-305 issues and the host of other smaller fish that the RCMP did all at the same time of the initial prohibition 4 years ago. These seem to keep cropping up with my name attached. Not true in any form.

Yes, I handed them the Swiss Arms on a platter. But lets all be objective here: They were just waiting for an excuse, as is they are now for a few other firearms they hate/want gone.

My direct email is jr@theshootingedge.com

Where were all of you when this was going down originally? Nothing posted in this thread is new information, I've refused to shop at TSE since the information became public.

I will never suport TSE and wish I had never shopped there in the past. I bought my Desert Tech there and wish that money had gone to a more upstanding business.
I'm surprised they're still in business, but that just goes to show how morally lacking some of our community is. Lot of guys who didn't own a SA just kept on shopping there like nothing happened because it didn't affect them directly.

JR, you had nothing to do with the other rifles, good for you.
Your involvement with the Swiss Arms rifle fiasco was more than enough to convince me that you are not worth my business.
I look forward to the day I see a going out of business sign on your front door.

Don't forget that the real monsters in all of this are the abominations C17 and C68 that are at the core of everything. That is what needs to be killed with fire.

Auggie D.
